Our La Liga betting gets off on the right foot this weekend as the very first game has a bet for us. There’s no hanging about as Espanyol face up against Levante at the RCDE Stadium. In terms of league placing there is very little between these two but there is some serious value on backing the away side here. Pinnacle are offering the best odds on the market right now at 5 and that’s going to be hard to beat. You could even afford to drop down the odds a bit, anything at 4.65 or above represents value in my book and there are a lot of bookies in that bracket.
Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla face off in Saturdays first match and I’m going the other way for this one. The home side is being backed by my money this week and I’ve taken advantage of the 2.45 offered by BetVictor. Ladbrokes are offering similar so you have some choice.
Real Madrid haven’t sparkled in the league so far this season but their trip to Getafe could see them pick up a much needed win. They’re a bit off the pace in the league right now but that hasn’t given us any value to play with.
Alaves v Real Sociedad looks like an away bet all ends up and there are some good odds available. BetVictor, Ladbrokes and BetFair are all offering 2.25 and there are better odds available if you shop around. Alaves have really struggled this term and are one spot off the bottom.
4th placed Atletico Madrid take on league leaders Barcelona and this is not a game for betting on in my book. There are two good sides here with very different styles. Barcelona clearly have the edge but they’re also missing some important players and I’m not risking my money on this one.
Deportivo La Coruna travel to Eibar and this is another away value bet I really like the look of. There’s not a lot between them but the odds on the away win push it into the “value” bracket in my book. Pinnacle are offering 4.16 for a Depor win, take it or anything close to it but don’t go too low as you losing value with each little drop.
Girona v Villarreal should be won by the away side based on form but football doesn’t always work like that. The maths doesn’t add up high enough in any one direction for me to place a bet on this one and I can’t honestly say it’s one I’ll be sitting down to either.
Malaga have a long injury list as they come up against surprise package Leganes. This is a fragile market, just look at the drop in odds between a straight Leganes win and Leganes+1 and you’ll see that there is a sharp drop off. There’s nothing here for me but I’d be interested to see if the injuries bite Malaga hard enough to see Leganes continue their story.
Real Betis and Valencia are both having a good start to the season. Valencia probably have the better staying power as Betis have been suspect in recent seasons. No bet here for me but a good match nonetheless.
No bet in the last game of the weekend either. Las Palmas and Celta Vigo isn’t a game to get the blood pumping and as such I’d live to be able to pick out a bet. Unfortunately, that’s just not the case so I’ll stick with what I have and hope I’m in profit at the end of Sunday.
