Premier League Round 8 – Best Predictions and Tips

The International break was quiet depressing but now it’s over and we are back and are ready to analyze the Premier League Round 8 and find the best value bets.

Liverpool vs. Manchester United

This is the game of the weekend in the Premier League. Seven weeks into the Premier League and the two Manchester teams are level at the top in what looks set to be one of the most thrilling title races in the history. The Red Devils travel to Anfield this weekend trying to secure their top spot and return home with the three points. United have won six and drawn one of their seven Premier League fixtures this season and enter this match full of confidence and ready to continue their brilliant campaign. Liverpool have big injury problems with their star striker Sadio Mane being ruled out for six weeks with hamstring injury. Manchester United enter this clash being favourites but with this fixture offering so much passion and uncertainty you can never be totally certain of the result. In their 50 Premier League mutual encounters United have won 27, Liverpool have won 13 and there have been 10 draws. The Red Devils defense has been outstanding recently as they kept three clean sheets in a row and will be looking to continue their 9-match unbeaten run. All their last 5 head-to-heads were under 2.5 goals but if we are looking at United’s attacking firepower we should not follow this trend. The match should be dominated by the Red Devils but we also expect an exciting match with at least three goals. Best pick for the match: Manchester United to win with DNB (Draw No Bet) at 1.92 with Betfair.

Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea

4th place Chelsea travel to play one of the worst squads in the European football, Crystal Palace. The Blues have lost to Manchester City last time out but they should easily win this away match against a team with no goals and no points so far in the Premier League. Not only that but the Eagles have the worst defense in their domestic league conceding 17 goals this season. They are sitting at the bottom of the table and they are huge favourites to be relegated at the end of this campaign. Being 6 points behind leaders City and United, Chelsea can’t afford to lose more points as they are defending their title. Despite not having lots of missing players, Chelsea will be without their top striker (6 goals in 7 games), Alvaro Morata, ruled out for up to two months with hamstring injury with Antonio Conte being forced to rely on Michy Batshuayi. Chelsea are priced at 1.42 with Unibet to win this match and we should surely use it in a parlay bet. Best pick for the match: Chelsea to win with -1.25 AH (Asian Handicap) at 2.01 with Bet365.

Watford vs. Arsenal

Three rounds ago Watford were destroyed 6-0 by the Citizens on their turf but they immediately bounced back and earned four points from their last two fixtures. They started their 2017/18 campaign destined to fight relegation but they are the positive surprise of the season so far, sitting 12th in the standings with 12 points gathered in the process. Watford’s Richarlison has had 16 attempts away in the Premier League being 2nd after Harry Kane with 22 this season. This match should be an entertaining encounter and the best approach is to avoid the winners market and concentrate on the goals market. We expect at least 3 goals in the match with both teams contributing on the scoreboard. Best pick for the match: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 1.91 with Bet365.
