Premier League Week 1 – Best Predictions and Tips

Finally, the Premier League is back and we are getting ready to enjoy another great season full of action. The Premier League returns after a crazy summer transfer window with a large amount of money spent by the EPL clubs. The big names have impressed in pre-season and they are ready to start their 2017/18 campaign on Friday. Let’s break down the important fixtures and find the best value bets for the Premier League Round 1.

Arsenal vs. Leicester City

Arsenal host Leicester for the 1st match of the Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal enter this match full of confidence after beating Chelsea on penalties to win their 1st trophy of the new season (the Community Shield). Despite having signed just one important player this summer (Alexandre Lacazette), the Gunners look really solid and have high expectations for the new season. We expect Arsenal to control the match and have the possession but we don’t expect them to keep a clean sheet. Leicester haven’t impressed in pre-season but they will try to put their best effort and return home with a positive result. They will do what they know better, they will defend the best they can and wait for the perfect moment to strike on the counter-attack. Best pick for the match: Both teams to score at 1.74 with Betfair.

Watford vs. Liverpool

Liverpool travel to play Watford on Saturday for the second match of the EPL round 1. Liverpool have enjoyed a superb pre-season and will try to continue their great form when they will visit Watford. Liverpool have completed the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma for a club record fee of £37million but they are about to lose their best player, Coutinho, linked with move to Barcelona. With four clean sheets in their final four pre-season fixtures, Watford will be focused on not conceding rather than scoring. Despite being linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United, Watford are delighted to confirm that Fluminense’s U20 Richarlison has signed a five-year deal. We expect a tense match with the host not losing at more than one goal difference. Best pick for the match: Watford to win with +1.25 AH (Asian Handicap) at 1.7 with BetVictor.

Brighton vs. Manchester City

This should be a one-sided match with Manchester City being able to easily cover the -1.5 Asian handicap market. The Citizens are the favourites to win the EPL title being priced at 2.9 with 10Bet and they will under a lot of pressure all season long. Pep Guardiola’s second year with the team should mean at least one trophy if not more than that. Despite spending over £200million in transfers, Pep is still looking for fresh legs and hopes that he will welcome to his team some more star players till August 31. Ilkay Gundogan’s return from the cruciate knee ligament injury is the best news for the Citizens. Brighton, a newly promoted side, are amongst the teams that will fight relegation this season as we don’t expect them to remain in the top league more than one year. Manchester City should have enough to win this match and to do it in style. Best pick for the match: Manchester City to win with -1.5 AH (Asian Handicap) at 1.95 with Bet365

Extra Tips:

Newcastle vs. Tottenham – Tottenham to win the match at 1.73 with WilliamHill

Manchester United vs. West Ham – Romelu Lukaku to score anytime at 1.95 with Betfair

Crystal Palace vs. Huddersfield – Crystal Palace to win the match at 1.83 with 10Bet
