Each week of the NFL season the Odds Market NFL team will release a Pigskin Parlay article. They may differ from week to week. One week it could be a Teaser, the next week it could be a spread or money line parlay. The goal, to finish the season with more units than we started with.

Back to back weeks where we get the job done. Unfortunately, we pushed on one of the games last week so it turned into a 1 unit straight bet that we end up cashing. A win is a win, we’ll take it and keep it moving. We will continue the Pigskin Parlay throughout the playoffs, but this is the last week of the regular season. Let’s end it on a high note and end the regular season in the black!!!

Week 17: 2 TEAM SPREAD ACCUMULATOR

New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers:

This is a very easy handicap for me. I only back teams that have something to play for in week 17. The New Orleans Saints have everything to play for. While they need a little help, the Saints are still alive for both a 1st round bye to bypass wildcard weekend, as well as homefield throughout the NFC playoffs.

I f the Saints win on Sunday and either the 49ERS or the Packers lose, they will clinch a 1st round bye. If both the Packers and 49ers lose the Saints will walk into the playoffs as the #1 seed in the NFC. That is a huge incentive to play like it’s any other week in the National Football League. Let’s be honest right now, the Saints are an absolute machine. It seems like they are breaking individual NFL records on offense every week. Last week Michael Thomas sts the record with most receptions in a single season with one week to go, and the week before that Drew Brees sets the record for most touchdowns thrown in NFL history. The only thing that will stop the Saints in this game is the Saints.

On the flip side the Carolina Panthers have had an absolutely abysmal season. It was so bad that the Panthers front office was forced to finally make a move and fire head coach Ron Rivera. It appears that the Cam Newton era is over in Carolina. There is a very good chance that

Newton has played his last game for the Panthers. Trade rumors have been swirling for weeks, and it makes sense. Earlier in the year Newton went down with an injury and quarterback Kyle Allen was plugged in at quarterback. After a great start where he won the first few games, he went on a 1-7 run during the season throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. Finally last week the Panthers were forced to put 3rd string rookie quarterback Will Grier in. Grier was bad, which is what you would expect for a rookie in his first start.

The Panthers have decided to start Grier again this week. A Saints team playing for a 1st round bye in the playoffs against a rookie in his 2nd career start on a bad team? The top 10 defense that the Saints have should eat all day. Especially in the 1st half. Give me the Saints.

PIECE ONE – New Orleans Saints (1st Half) -6.5 points at 100/117 (1.85) -PINNACLE

Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs

This game is a mirror image in the AFC as what we just discussed with the Saints this week in the NFC and we are going to do the exact same thing. The Chiefs can clinch a 1st round bye this weekend if they win the game and the New England Patriots lose against the Dolphins. The Chiefs would love to sit home in the 1st round of the payoffs if it were up to them, and luckily it is up to them, at least in part.

The Chiefs similar to the Saints are lick a clock on offense. It runs itself. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be the best quarterback in this league for the next 15 years, and with weapons like Travis Kelce its easy to see why. If you are looking for a bonus bet in this game, I

would be looking to bet Travis Kelce’s receiving yards prop over. They usually hang it around 68 yards which is a very fair number for Kelce. We were on him last week on Live Line and it hit easily.

On the other sideline will stand the Los Angeles Chargers. They have had an awful season. If this game was 5 years ago, I would have the Chargers in this spot to play spoiler against the Chiefs. Unfortunately for the Chargers it is not 5 years ago. It looks like Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers has finally been punched in the face by Father Time. No matter how bad or good the Chargers used to be, they always had a gun slinging Phillip Rivers to keep them in any game, but this season Rivers has looked awful.

The amount of concerning interceptions he threw this year, that were completely unforced, tells me his days are numbered as an NFL quarterback. We are going to do the same thing we did in the Saints game. Take the Chiefs in the 1st half to come out of the gate and step right on the Charger throat. I just can’t see either of these bad football teams hanging with two playoff teams that have everything to play for this week. Give me the Chiefs.

PIECE TWO – Kansas City Chiefs (1st Half) -6 points at 10/11 (1.91) -Betway

Pigskin Parlay Wrap Up

NFL Week 17: 2 TEAM ACCUMULATOR

PIECE ONE – New Orleans Saints 1H -6.5 (1.85)

PIECE TWO – Kansas City Chiefs 1H -6 (1.91)

TOTAL STAKE – (1.00 unit) TO WIN (3.65)

SEASON RECORD (5-9)

PARLAY BANK – (10 Units to start.)

TOTAL PROFIT/LOSS – (-1.52u)

CURRENT BANK – (8.48 UNITS)
