Free Bellator 237 underdog betting tips here. One final card of the year for Bellator in 2019 with Rampage Jackson vs Fedor in Japan.

The final MMA event of the calendar year will take place in Japan when Bellator will host a stacked fight card just days after Christmas; filling the void that we’re missing from the end of year UFC card that has subsequently been cancelled.

We’ve had a successful year with dogs and their odds, so why not take a pop at the lesser favoured MMA organisation and the retirement home for UFC veterans…Bellator.

Fedor Emelianenko vs Rampage Jackson

Heavyweight Bout

Bellator 237 takes place on Saturday, 28th December live from The Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan

Bellator 237 Prediction: Rampage Jackson to win @ 2.10 [+100] with Bet365

Heili Alateng

Age: 41

Nationality: American

Record: 38-13-0

Height: 6ft 1”

Reach: 73”

Current Streak: 1 win

Gym: Wolfslair Academy

Notable Gym Members: N/A

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Y14_OaZ7cDY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I understand that watching a 41-year-old version of Rampage Jackson isn’t the fighter we saw win the UFC Light Heavyweight title back in 2007, but I have to admit; Scott Corker and the Bellator organisation provide some true fan fantasy-style matchups. It’s all about the money for these two Heavyweights; which would usually provide a fight that doesn’t go the distance.

Rampage hasn’t had the worst run (post-UFC) and continues to pack enough power in his older age. The saying goes, ‘power is the last tool to go’. He finished Wanderlei Silva by TKO in his previous fight, which should give the MMA striking legend a confidence boost when facing another ageing fighter with questionable motives.

Fedor Emelianenko

Age: 43

Nationality: Russian

Record: 38-6-0

Height: 6ft”

Reach: 74.5”

Current Streak: 1 loss

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NnYyQ-44S9Y" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Regarded by some as the greatest Heavyweight fighter of all time, the MMA legend Fedor will make the walk once again, in hopes for a classic finish caused by a brutal striking offence. So much so, you’d never realise he was a black-belt in Judo and a skilled Sambo wrestler.

Without question, Fedor is the most popular Heavyweight martial artist in Russia but now faces steeper challenges in his career with a race against time. Much like Rampage, Fedor still has the power and intelligence to win a fight, It’s a question of who turns up on the night.

At the end of the day

I think anybody with the slightest bit of MMA knowledge will know how this fight should turn out. We aren’t going to see too much grappling and when both men stand toe to toe in the pocket and swing, there’s a good chance somebody is going ‘night-night’.

Both men should be quite well-matched on the feet, depending on how serious Rampage has taken this fight-camp should depend on who takes the speed advantage (which I believe is key in this bout). Two Heavyweights with knockout power leads me right towards the underdog. Without knowing the odds, I pretty much knew the underdog was going to be this week’s free betting tip.

In the final fight of the night (and year)… We’ll be riding with the underdog one last time. Hopefully, we’ll ride in 2020 with another dog barking at the bookmaker.

I don’t expect this fight to be a pretty one; I think Rampage does need to catch Fedor in order to win this bout, I don’t fancy his chances on the judge's scorecard as Fedor the more polished athlete.

Michael Chandler vs Sidney Outlaw

Lightweight Bout

Bellator 237 takes place on Saturday, 28th December live from The Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan

Bellator 237 Prediction: Sidney Outlaw to win @ 2.10 [+100] with Bet365

Sidney Outlaw

Age: 27

Nationality: American

Record: 14-3-0

Height: 5ft 8”

Reach: 74.0”

Current Streak: 9 wins

Gym: Renzo Gracie

Notable Gym Members: N/A

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RRpxSSkdJrE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Sidney Outlaw has been making a name for himself and hopes to continue his winning before the year is out. A 9-fight win streak isn’t easily obtained, but now he’ll be opposed with his toughest competition to date in Michael Chandler.

A perfect chance for Sidney to become a serious contender in the Bellator Lightweight division is now in front of him. A win over Chandler is huge and so significant it could earn a title shot.

Sidney hasn’t seen defeat since 2016 which came against current UFC fighter Gregor Gillispie so, no shame there. Chandler has been around the block, it could be the perfect time for a hungry Sidney Outlaw to take out a legend of the sport.

Michael Chandler

Age: 33

Record: 19-5-0

Height: 5ft 8”

Reach: 69.0”

Current Streak: 1 loss

Gym: Alliance MMA

Notable Gym Members: N/A

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TMnGm3xsArk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The accolades for Chandler’s resume are something to behold. Former NCAA All-American runner up in wrestling gives Chandler the ultimate martial arts base and long-lasting cardio. Wrestling has been the lead attack in Chandler’s career but I question if the same hunger to achieve still remains.

Chandler suffered a TKO loss to Patricio Pitbull earlier this year, can he bounce-back after this set-back?

At the end of the day

Sidney doesn’t have the wrestling achievements of Chandler nor the experience, but he’s certainly shown me enough to believe in his wrestling offence and ability to scramble a takedown. In 2017 he won a decision on Dana White Contender Series, The UFC was barking up the right tree but they didn’t realise Sidney’s true potential at the time. He’s since gone on to win every fight and now finds himself hunting Bellator gold.

Michael Chandler will be waiting for his opportunity to level change and get the takedown; Sidney will be anticipating the takedown and should be more than ready to fend off every attempt. Even if Sidney were to give up a few takedowns, I think his mixed arrays of abilities are enough to take out the Bellator veteran. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sidney landed a takedown himself and found some minor success of top.

The final dogs and their odds free betting tip will be Sidney Outlaw, I think he can out-strike Chandler and pose a dangerous submission threat if/when Chandler lands a takedown.
