A bit of a rocky start to Season 2, but we don’t let a losing day knock our confidence here at odds market. We’re back this week with Episode 2 and it’s time to take revenge on Mr Bookmaker as the UFC makes its way to New York for UFC Rochester aka Fight Night 152.

Megan Anderson vs Felicia Spencer

Well, aren’t we in for a right treat this weekend when we have the chance to witness two of the most interesting up and coming female fighters in the UFC. Featherweight prospect Megan Anderson and Bantamweight go-getter Aspen Ladd are both fighting this weekend in New York.

Just outside of the co-main and main event segment we are gifted with the wonderfully-talented KO artist Megan Anderson versus the undefeated-debuting Felicia Spencer.

A mismatch if you will, or possibly backtracking setup fight, either way we should see some fireworks let off here when the entertaining striker Megan lets loose. Size doesn’t always matter, but the size differential in this bout is astronomic. With extra size comes extra strength, and giving Megan a boost in those factors is something that she doesn’t even need the advantage in with her natural talent.

The UFC must have learnt a lesson when throwing Megan straight into the lion’s den against Holly Holm in her UFC debut, now she’s stepping up against a debuting un-experienced fighter. Felicia walks in at 5’4 whilst Megan is 6’0, combine that with Megan’s overwhelming striking ability and we have ourselves the first leg to this week’s Accumulator/Parlay.

Megan Anderson at [1.73] [8/11] [-137] with William Hill.

(Davi Ramos)

Davi Ramos vs Austin Hubbard

Well, no disrespect intended but here we have another mismatch in my opinion. I can’t support a debuting fighter especially if you're facing a world champion black belt in Ju-Jitsu, big mistake.

Obviously, its the fight game and Davi has been caught on the chin prior, but after watching Austin Hubbard he doesn’t look like the sharpest defensive grappler and versus Davi that is the key skill you’ll need to succeed. I’m sensing Austin will attempt a grappling exchange and put himself in a world of danger.

Ever improving since his previous loss to Sergio Moraes, Davi Ramos has shown development in his striking which had shown to be a sluggish attribute of Davi. A three-fight win streak by submission, Davi spat the bad taste that remained in his mouth and has refused to look back since.

Miles apart in fight level experience, Austin will struggle anywhere on the ground with Ramos and seems highly susceptible for a take or grappling exchange.

Austin is looking for a punchers chance or bust, Ramos is heavily favoured and by the time this article is published he will most likely be the biggest favourite on the card. Watching tape on Austin proves Austin can easily be taken down and enjoys to grapple himself, Ramos is beast on the ground and will constrict Austin Hubbard like a Boa.

Davi Ramos at [1.29] [2/7] [-350] with William Hill

Punching Parlay Wrap Up

Megan Anderson at [1.73] [8/11] [-137] with William Hill.

Davi Ramos at [1.29] [2/7] [-350] with William Hill

Odds: [2.23] [5/4] [+125] with William Hill
Stake: £150 / 1.5u
Returns: £337.50
Profit: £187.50
Current Parlay Bank: -£150 (-1.5 Units/-1.5u)
The Weekly Punching Parlay Season 2 Record: 0-1

Season One:
Record: 10-0
End of Season 1 Profit: £1154, 10.1 Units of Profit
Starting Bank: £100, 1 unit

The Weekly Punching Parlay is documented and trackable through our fighting section on the Odds Market website.
Follow DaveBets on Twitter HERE.
DaveBets ‘Dogs and Their Odds’ article available HERE
