Feels good to be back on track ready for UFC 241, but let’s not lose focus over a successful week, shall we?!

Gabriel Benitez vs Sodiq Yusuff

Punching Parlay 1st Leg: Sodiq Yusuff [1.33] [-300] [1/3] @ Bet365

We’ll end the punching parlay in the Featherweight division. ‘Dana White Contender Series’ prospect Sodiq Yusuff will be hunting for his third consecutive UFC win against Gabriel Benitez.

The future of the Featherweight division is right in front of our eye’s ladies and gentlemen. Young in the game but posses the striking talent of a top #10 Featherweight, Sodiq has been impressive inside the octogen since his debut. Currently riding a 4-fight win streak, Sodiq will attempt to continue his dominance this weekend and your boy DaveBets thinks he gets the job done comfortably.

Sodiq Yusuff ran through Sheymon Moraes in his previous bout. Now he’s facing a similar stylistic fighter in Benitez which could possibly be a drop-down in competition or at the very least, not much difference in skill level.

Easy one for Sodiq, not much to think about other than Benitez should probably take this fight to the ground. Fluent in submission victories, it would only make sense for Benitez to avoid a striking battle against a fighter in Sodiq who dominates his stand-up exchanges 9 times out of 10.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Sodiq \"Super\" Yusuff
26 ans 🇳🇬
9-1 (2-0 UFC)pic.twitter.com/SANR7MTGBv
— Art du MMA (@mma_du) July 23, 2019
"}[/]

Cory Sandhagen vs Raphael Assuncao

Punching Parlay 2nd Leg: Cory Sandhagen [1.62] [-162] [8/13] @ Bet365

Is it that time of the week already? ‘The Weekly Punching Parlay’ is back for another action-filled fight card at UFC 241. Not only are we gifted with three main event calibre match-ups, but we have an undercard filled with potential future top #5 contenders.

One of those prospects would be Cory Sandhagen. Doubted by many in his fight versus John Lineker, Cory has now surpassed the doubters and is now a couple of fights away from title contention.

Four fights, three finishes and a brutal decision victory over former title challenger John Lineker should be more than enough to convince you that Cory is no joke in the Bantamweight division. It’s going to be a struggle for anybody at this weight coming up against a man just under 6’0 feet tall. Let’s put this in perspective for a moment. Cory Sandhagen who is fighting in the 135-pound Bantamweight division is the same height as Daniel Cormier who is fighting in the Heavyweight main event between 230-265 lbs. Two fighters, same height but there’s a five-weight class difference.

Raphael Assuncao has been a staple in the lower weight divisions of the UFC. A gatekeeper for the new breed of UFC fighter, it won’t be a breeze for Cory but It’s easy to see this is another drop-down in competition type of fight. Cory will overwhelm Raphael with his size and strength, he’s dealt with the small, stocky body type and fared well. I can’t see a viable path to victory for Raphael especially when he’s on a decline at age 37. Lock it up and place your bets, we’re good to go for ‘The Punching Parlay’ episode three.
