The UFC returns to the beautiful Abu Dhabi this weekend, let us serve up some accumulator/parlay betting tips, shall we?

UFC Welterweight Bout
Belal Muhammad vs Takashi Sato

UFC 242 takes place on Saturday 7th September live from the Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Belal Muhammad

Age: 31
Record: 15-3-0
Height: 5ft 11”
Reach: 72”
Current Streak: 1 win
Gym: Roufusport
Notable Gym Members: Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren & Anthony Pettis

Significant Strikes

Landed Per Min: 4.39
Accuracy: 41%
Defence: 59%

Grappling

Takedown Average: 2.11
Takedown Accuracy: 33%
Takedown Defended: 90%

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

\"I was texting my coach like 'Man, we gotta get on this card'\" ~@bullyb170 talks about wanting to fight for the first time in the Middle East when he heard the Abu Dhabi event was coming.

Full Belal Muhammad story coming soon!

Order #UFC242: https://t.co/leUvS9YwOw pic.twitter.com/mi94lr8L4p
— UFC News (@UFCNews) September 4, 2019
"}[/]

Of course, the coolest Muslim in the UFC will be fighting on the biggest card of the year in Abu Dhabi! This weekend we’ll be blessed with the presence of social media funny man and UFC welterweight fighter Belal ‘Remember the Name’ Muhammad.

A long-time member of the Roufusport gym, Belal is no newcomer to a big scrap on a big card. With wins over the likes of Randy Brown, Tim Means & Curtis Millender… there will be zero amount of nerves on Belal’s behalf.

Belal walks into this fight with a significant advantage in the grappling department. The game-plan for Sato is simple, clinch with him and work in the takedown. Rinse and repeat until we’re 15 minutes into the fight ready for a judges decision.

Takashi Sato

Age: 29
Record: 15-2-0
Height: 5ft 10”
Reach: 73”
Current Streak: 2 wins
Gym: Tribe Tokyo MMA
Notable Gym Members: Unknown

Significant Strikes

Landed Per Min: 4.44
Accuracy: 40%
Defence: 48%

Grappling

Takedown Average: N/A
Takedown Accuracy: N/A
Takedown Defended: N/A

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Holy hellbows 😲

Remember the name: Takashi Sato!

Splits the guard BEAUTIFULLY for a big TKO win on his UFC debut 🔥#UFCFtLauderdale pic.twitter.com/wHDk5akpPR
— UFC on BT Sport (@btsportufc) April 28, 2019
"}[/]

The Japanese southpaw Takashi Sato steps into the UFC octogen for the second time this weekend in Abu Dhabi. After his debut knockout victory over Ben Saunders, Sato now turns his attention to Belal Muhammad.

Takashi Sato is relatively unknown to UFC fans but a win over Belal Muhammad would raise Sato’s stock considerably, the question is can he do it?

Sato will look towards his bread and butter in this fight; which will be his striking but most of all his dangerous left hand that has knocked out multiple opponents in the past. Sato made quick work of Saunders in his previous fight and will need to replicate that success early on if he wants to avoid the grappling game of Belal.

At the end of the day

I realise Belal has shown signs of a weak chin in the past but this flaw is only a problem when he’s fasting during Ramadan.

The key to victory for Sato is simply going to be his left hand. He’ll land the one devasting blow that’s needed or he won't. I’m going to side with Belal and his ability to defend these strikes, gain a grappling advantage and make this fight a scrappy 15-minute battle

Belal holds more experience at a higher level which will play in his favour if the fight heads towards the judge's scorecards. Belal has a high fight IQ and knows how to point-fight his way to victory.

Sato is a drop-down in competition for Belal in my opinion, Geoff Neal posed a similar threat with a dangerous southpaw stance that was easily dealt with by Belal. I expect a similar outcome Belal Muhammad wins by decision.

Punching Parlay 1st Leg: Belal Muhammad [1.36] [4/11] @ Bet365

UFC Lightweight Bout

Teemu Packalen vs Ottman Azaitar

UFC 242 takes place on Saturday 7th September live from the Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Teemu Packalen

Age: 32
Record: 8-2-0
Height: 6ft 1”
Reach: 75.5”
Current Streak: 1 Loss
Gym: Tristar
Notable Gym Members: GSP & Rory MacDonald

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Teemu Packalen finished Pasi Stark w/ an AB R1 (2010) AMMY #UFC242 pic.twitter.com/g3VUky0UmA
— LORD HONKY HUMUNGUS (@Mr_Honky) September 3, 2019
"}[/]

It’s been a rough start in the UFC for Tristar hopeful Teemu Packalen, 3 fight’s and just 1 win isn’t something to be shouting about. With such huge gaps in between fights and lack of actual fights, it’s possible Teemu just isn’t fighting enough. Can the Finnish grappler turn it around in Abu Dhabi?

Teemu will be faced with a lot of aggression, weathering an early storm will be important if he wants to find any success on the mat. A beautiful submission victory over Thibault Gouti gave hope for Teemu but a lack activity since that win doesn’t give us much to go on here.

Ottman Azaitar

Age: 29
Record: 8-0-0
Height: 5ft 10”
Reach: Unknown
Current Streak: 11 wins
Gym: Jupps Fight Team
Notable Gym Members: Abu Azaitar & Khalid Taha

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Ottman Azaitar (11-0) keeps his undefeated record alive! He KO's Danijel Kokora in the #Brave14 main event. @FloCombat pic.twitter.com/2GbgG4TJ0K
— Nolan King (@mma_kings) August 18, 2018
"}[/]

Ottman Azaitar makes his UFC debut on the big stage and for good reason. The 29-year-old Thai based fighter is currently riding an 11-fight streak with only one fight ending by decision. Fierceness and aggression are what Ottman brings to the table, along with a huge fan base.

So long the UFC doesn’t rush Ottman into deep waters then his future in the company should be a bright one. We love nothing more than a high-light reel finish so now Ottman gets the chance to test his skill up against the elite.

At the end of the day

With a huge following in the middle east and huge momentum swinging his way, I love Azaitar to make a big impression on his debut. I smell an early knockout or TKO; some guys look as if they’re born to fight and Ottman is one of those guys.

Punching Parlay 2nd Leg: Ottman Azaitar [1.47] [47/100] @ Bet365

Punching Parlay Wrap Up

Belal Muhammad to win [1.36] [8/15]

Ottman Azaitar to win [1.47] [47/100]

Parlay/Accumulator Odds: [2.00] [1/1] with Bet365
Stake: £100
Returns: £200
Profit: £100
Current Bankroll: £210.00

The Weekly Punching Parlay Season 3 Record: 2-2

Season One Record: 10-0
End of Season 1 Profit: (+10.1 Units of Profit)

Season Two Record: 3-7
End of Season 1 Profit: (-4.95 Units of Profit)

DaveBets Full Betting Card

The Weekly Punching Parlay is documented and trackable through our fighting section on the Odds Market website.

DaveBets on Twitter HERE
