The most stacked UFC card of this quarter will give us multiple main event calibre bouts. Let’s get into our betting tips for UFC 244.

UFC Light Heavyweight Bout

UFC Singapore takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.

Johnny Walker vs Corey Anderson

Saturday 2nd, Nov 2019

A potential number 1 contender shot for Jon Jones’s UFC Light Heavyweight Championship will take place on the preliminary card of UFC 244, which just goes to show how much talent will be in New York on Saturday night.

Johnny Walker is a spectacular striker; his hard-to-predict style has caused trouble in the LHW division. A division that is in desperate need of new talent, Johnny Walker could fit the bill if he continues on his impressive win streak. Walker hasn’t seen past the first round since his UFC debut, knockout victories over Mischa Cirkunov, Justin Ledet and Khalil Rountree.

Corey Anderson has flown under the radar in his lengthy UFC career. Since 2014, Corey has 8 wins and 4 losses inside the UFC with his wrestling ability found to be the major tool at his disposal. The game-plan for Corey has never been so clear, if Corey can find success by taking Walker down then he’ll find early confidence in hope that he can get out the first round with Walker's dangerous striking offence. Former opposition with a much lower level of striking found success striking in the pocket with Anderson, Jimi Manuwa & Ovince Saint Preux to name a few.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/f8rHcfRLJNM\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

UFC 244 Walker vs Anderson prediction

The striker with more speed, defence, precision and experience would have to be Johnny Walker. The wrestler with high-level entries into his takedown offence is Anderson. Given that the fight starts standing and so does every round to follow, siding with the Walker with at least a 55% chance to win makes sense.

The odds presented do not represent a 55% chance of success for Walker, but that has no relevance either way because we’ll be siding with Johnny Walker to finish the fight inside the distance. Nobody has managed to prevent the over-whelming striking power that Walker presents and how on earth does the durability of Corey survive said onslaughts that Walker will bring to the table? I don’t think he does… Johnny Walker could easily walk out with another round 1 knockout.

Accumulator betting tip 1: Ciryl Johnny Walker ITD [2.00] [+100] @ William Hill

UFC Flyweight Bout

UFC Singapore takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.

Katlyn Chookagian vs Jennifer Maia

Saturday 2nd, Nov 2019

The first and only female fight on the UFC 244 card could also fall under another potential #1 contender fight. Katlyn Chookagian takes on Jennifer Maia in what should be a 15-minute war between the two.

Since four years old Katlyn has been a karate practitioner, also owning a brown belt under the Gracie gives her a well-rounded skill-set. It’s hard to read and predict Katlyn which is one of the reasons that she’s 8-1 in the 125-pound female Flyweight division.

Jennifer Maia possesses the power to end any fight inside the distance. The former Invicta FC champion has come out on top in all but one of her UFC bouts. Liz Carmouche was able to out-grapple Maia into a decision loss in her UFC debut. With no doubt, Katlyn made her and returned and is now riding back to back wins.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/w6AG5DqqCOw\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

At the end of the day

I see the majority of this bout taking place on the feet. Both girls should feel comfortable striking. Maia will be looking to get on the inside of Katlyn and make it a scrappy boxing match. Katlyn, on the other hand, should be looking to keep her distance with the jab and karate-style kicks.

There’s a good chance the fight goes to the judge's scorecard. Unless Maia can find the button and knock Katlyn out, I can’t see her out-pointing the technical, faster striker. Her movement will be important for Katlyn, so long as she strikes and moves; a decision victory for the ‘Blonde Fighter’ is hers to lose.

Accumulator betting pick 2: Katlyn Chookagian [1.61] [-163] @ Coral

Punching Parlay Wrap Up

Johnny Walker Inside the Distance [2.00]

Katlyn Chookagian [1.61]

Parlay/Accumulator Odds: [3.24] [+224] with William Hill

Stake: £100

Returns: £324

Profit: £224

Current Bankroll: + £314

The Weekly Punching Parlay Season 4 Record: 3-1

Season One Record: 10-0

End of Season 1 Profit: (+10.1 Units of Profit)

Season Two Record: 3-7

End of Season 1 Profit: (-4.95 Units of Profit)

Season Three Record: 7-3

End of Season 1 Profit: (+7.4.
