Another sweep of winning bets for us last week, the UFC heads to Mexico City this week. Are your brooms ready for more UFC predictions?

The Dogs Odds

Another winning week behind us but another fight card ahead stacked with odds for us to sink into. The UFC heads to Mexico City, Mexico this weekend and elevation levels are going to test the endurance of outsiders stepping into Mexico. I’m pumped for this one, shall we…

Ariane Carnelossi vs Angela Hill

UFC Fight Night 159 Mexico takes place on Saturday 21st September live from Mexico City Arena in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico.
Betting Prediction/Tip: Ariane Carnelossi to win @ 2.20 with William Hill

Arian Carnelossi makes her UFC this weekend in Mexico City and couldn’t pick a tougher country to do it in. Luckily for her, she isn’t fighting a Mexican native and faces American UFC veteran Angela Hill.

It’s been a tipsy turvy career for Hill. The early days in the UFC didn’t last long for Angela when she was dropped down to the B-league for UFC females (Invicta FC) in early 2016. After letting her presence known amongst the lower level females, she worked her way back into the UFC. Personally, I think Hills downfall has been her rate of fighting. She’s had fourteen fights in four years!! Now she’s 33 and seems to have slowed down in comparison to her younger self. She’s taken on a whole lot of damage across multiple decision bouts, 11 times Angela has fought the full 15 or 25 minutes. I take this into consideration when she’s fighting an up and coming brawler.

Ariane Carnelossi is making her UFC debut after a 12-1 run on the regional scene and I like the aggressiveness she puts on display in the fights she’s had thus far.

Since her debut fight and loss on the regional scene, that 0-1 soon flipped round into a 12-1 record after Ariane went on a 12-fight win streak. 8 of those came by knockout and one by submission, this girl does not like the scorecards. Question is, can she put on the same performances on the big stage?

Making your UFC can obviously be a daunting task but usually, if a debuting fighter can survive the first round, they can settle in and adjust to their new surroundings and cynosure. Angela Hill doesn’t offer much threat of finishing a fight, At the most I’d maybe give round one in favour of Angela but I expect Ariane to pick up pace and show her youth advantage in this one.

Ariane Carnelossi knows how to eat a punch and isn’t afraid to walk right inside the pocket and load up. I wouldn’t be surprised if she knocked out Angela out given the head damage; she’s has taken over the years. With dog money winking at me, my first betting tip and prediction for UFC Fight Night 159 Mexico will be the new-comer Ariane Carnelossi.

Some statistics below you may find interesting

Ariane is on a 12-fight win streak
Angela has gone the distance in 9 of her previous 10
Ariane is making her UFC debut
Angela has spent 3 hours and 28 minutes fighting in the UFC (That's a lot of punches)
Ariane has a black belt in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and a brown belt in BJJ
Ariane has finished 8 fights by KO/TKO

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": ""}[/]

Marco Polo Reyes vs Kyle Nelson

UFC Fight Night 159 Mexico takes place on Saturday 21st September live from Mexico City Arena in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico.
Betting Prediction/Tip: Polo Reyes to win @ 2.05 with Betway

Mexican native Marco Polo Reyes makes another return to the UFC octogen in 2019 as we see him take his third fight of the year. He will face Canadian born Kyle Nelson in a Featherweight matchup.

Polo Reyes has been knocked out twice this year and hasn’t given himself the longest time in recovery. This could be a cause for concern but given his opposition and the location of the fight, I love Reyes chances to get back to winning ways.

Before his upsets (against high-level opposition may I add), Reyes found success in his brawling, aggressive style and found himself on the end of a few bonus pay-outs. Since joining the UFC his record his 4-3 with multiple knockouts on his record. Polo Reyes has a lot to be desired in terms of durability, but I just don’t think Nelson is a UFC calibre fighter. Polo Reyes has proven himself in the UFC where Nelson hasn’t.

Kyle Nelson made his UFC debut in 2018 and has back to back losses on his record. Out-classed in both fight’s It doesn’t look good for the Canadian. He is potentially fighting for his job here in a country where Mexican fighters have a pretty decent record fighting at home.

I don’t think many fights will see the judge’s scorecard this week, and this fight falls into that category. I expect a knockout and I expect it to come from Polo Reyes.

Some statistics below you may find interesting

6 of Reyes previous 7 bouts ended by KO
Reyes has the advantage in all striking statistics
Nelson has the advantage in all grappling statistics

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

What a performance Polo Reyes 🙌🙌🙌

El Toro destroyed Matt Frevola and got the KO inside 60 seconds...#UFCSTL pic.twitter.com/RzYg9esM65
— UFC on BT Sport (@btsportufc) January 15, 2018
"}[/]

UFC Fight Night 159 Mexico takes place on Saturday 21st September live from Mexico City Arena in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico.

If you would like to check up on any underdogs or odds not mentioned in this article then click HERE.
