The Ultimate Fighting Championship will pack their bags once again when they travel to Denmark for UFC Fight Night 160/ESPN+18. Headliner “Hermansson vs Cannonier” will blitz; then blow the roof off the Royal Arena.

This past weekend in Mexico City reminisced the feeling of a rollercoaster ride for your boy DaveBets. I was nauseous, prone to vomiting at any moment and just wanted to get off the ride. Poor judging combined with a cancelled main event fight left viewers and local residents utterly disappointed. However, we still profited and cashed two parlays/accumulators. The UFC sets up camp in Copenhagen, Denmark on Saturday so let’s get back to work with some UFC betting tips and predictions.

UFC Bantamweight Bout

Macy Chiasson vs Lina Lansberg

UFC Fight Night 160 Copenhagen takes place on Saturday 28th September live from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Lina ‘Back & Forth’ Lansberg doesn’t actually use the nickname ‘back and forth’ but considering her win/loss record since joining the UFC; the shoe fits.

The Swedish native Lansberg has had six fights, alternating between wins and losses since her debut fight against Cris Cyborg back in 2016. After a successful outing in her previous bout, Lansberg will be finally looking for that 2-win streak she hasn’t yet managed to do. With her Muay-Thai base, Lansberg has managed four career wins by TKO/KO. Her striking battles haven’t come without consequence, she’s also been on the end of three knockout losses.

Macy Chiasson has implemented the perfect start to her professional MMA journey. Coached by Kelvin Gastelum on ‘The Ultimate Fighter 28’ UFC reality TV show, Macy went on to win the competition final via submission in round two. Macy continued her destruction in the UFC with two TKO victories over Gina Mazany and Sarah Moras.

Chiasson has been impressive in all of her fights to date, it could be slightly early for this prediction but ‘future champ’ has Macy’s name written all over it. The regional women’s MMA scene will see a fair few females enter the UFC with a good finish rate (fight ending by KO or Submission). Upon arrival we more often than not see this come to a halt with the level of competition becoming tougher. Chiasson hasn’t been one of those fighters, she has continued her destructive path at the highest level.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/vV0QY5GGn9o\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

At the end of the day

In all aspects of MMA, I think Macy triumphs Lansberg. Other than a strong clinch game, Lansberg doesn’t pose much threat to a fighter with the size and stature of Macy. She won’t be able to control her and holding onto the clinch is going to be tough.

Macy finds no trouble in weighing in at 135lbs and she’s even bigger than former champion ‘Cris Cyborg’ (who notably struggled to cut weight at 135lbs). A scary thought for her Bantamweight peers to think a girl with a bunch of knockout finishes who is bigger than Cyborg is coming up through the rankings.

Macy Chiasson is going to win this fight and do it convincingly.

Accumulator betting tip 1: Macy Chiasson [1.27] [27/100] @ Bet365

UFC Light Heavyweight Bout

Khalil Rountree vs Ion Cutelaba

UFC Fight Night 160 Copenhagen takes place on Saturday 28th September live from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Other than an unfortunate knockout loss to ‘Jonny Walker’, Khalil Rountree seems to have found his footing after a rocky start to his UFC career.

After his first two initial UFC bouts, things weren’t looking bright for the newcomer from LA, California. Suffering two losses isn’t the confidence boost one should expect but given one of those losses was a TUF finale, we can’t be too hard on Khalil. Since then, he’s looked like a man possessed. Three knockouts from four wins have put Khalil back on track.

Ion Cutelaba isn’t a pushover and the fight in question is guaranteed to provide us with pure entertainment value. I’d be highly surprised if we don’t see a knockout in this one; favouring Khalil to provide us with that method.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/r4BhbDxPYHw\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

At the end of the day

Cutelaba lacks serious fight intelligence. Understanding your surroundings and adapting to the fight in front of you is imperative when fighting at the highest level. Cutelaba has the punchers chance in this one, he does have the power to put Khalil’s lights out but it's unlikely.

The big boys will come out swinging hard, Khalil should be able to slowly but surely; pick Cutelaba’s striking apart. Khalil should take this one by KO or decision.

Accumulator betting tip 2: Khalil Rountree [1.75] [3/4] @ Bet365

UFC Lightweight Bout

Mark Madsen vs Danilo Belluardo

UFC Fight Night 160 Copenhagen takes place on Saturday 28th September live from the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A long-awaited debut for Olympic Champion wrestler ‘Mark Madsen’ is upon us and although we are presented with some ugly sized betting odds, I think it’s safe to say that the newcomer Madsen should dominate this one from pillar to post.

Evidently, this one is a showcase fight, Madsen is a great wrestler but starting your UFC career at age 35 I feel is “too little, too late”. Without a doubt, Madsen is capable of winning some lower-level fights with his dominant wrestling style but other than his forte he doesn’t offer much else in the offensive department.

Danilo Belluardo also prefers to use grappling as his base fighting style. Unfortunately for him, he’s heading into a grappler vs grappler style fight versus an Olympic champion. With all due respect, they’re using Danilo as bait and It’s hard to visualise any path to victory for him.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/L62txey6-jI\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

At the end of the day

Don’t be surprised if Madsen holds Danilo on the ground for fifteen minutes. Don’t be surprised if Madsen knocks Danilo out. I’m struggling to predict how this fight will end but one thing is for sure, Mark Madsen will dominate the grappling and take the W any-way possible.

Accumulator betting tip 3: Mark Madsen [1.20] [1/5] @ Bet365

Punching Parlay Wrap Up

Macy Chiasson [1.40] [7/20]

Khalil Rountree [1.75] [3/4]

Mark Madsen [1.20] [1/5]

Parlay/Accumulator Odds: [2.67] [167/100] with Bet365

Stake: £100
Returns: £267
Profit: £167
Current Bankroll: £841.00 (8.4 Units)
The Weekly Punching Parlay Season 3 Record: 7-2

Season One Record: 10-0

End of Season 1 Profit: (+10.1 Units of Profit)

Season Two Record: 3-7

End of Season 1 Profit: (-4.95 Units of Profit)

DaveBets Full Betting Card

The Weekly Punching Parlay is documented and trackable through our fighting section on the Odds Market website.
DaveBets on Twitter HERE
