The UFC is back with another action-packed fight card. This week we’ll be covering Fight Night 164 which will be live from Sao Paulo, Brazil

UFC Featherweight Bout

Ricardo Ramos vs Luiz Eduardo Gagagorri

UFC Fight Night 164 takes place on Saturday, November 16th at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil

It was a great week for the underdog’s last week at UFC Moscow but, unfortunately, the parlays have hit a brick wall. This week we’re looking at another stacked card to have fun with and attempt to get back to winning ways.

Ricardo Ramos will make his sixth appearance inside a UFC octagon this weekend and the home town favourite will be seeking revenge after coming up short against Said Nurmagomedov in Brazil earlier this year.

Ramos has impressed me with his 4-1 run in the UFC thus far; Garagorri won’t be the toughest opposition that Ramos has faced whereas I do believe this will be Garagorri’s toughest fight to date. Ramos belongs in the new wave of martial arts talent coming up in the UFC and aged just 24, is already showing championship quality in his bouts.

Luiz Garagorri made his UFC debut against Humberto Bandenay and although he came out victorious, his impressive record doesn’t seem to match his skill level. Failing to defend the takedowns won’t farewell for the Uruguayan against the Brazilian fighting in his home country.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/MgfWLTDsy-I\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

UFC Moscow Ricardo Ramos vs Luiz Garagorri prediction

Ramos has some intense offensive grappling skills and if we take a peek at Luiz’s previous bouts you’ll find he’s struggled on multiple occasions in the grappling department. Ramos made an impressive outing versus in his last contest and was unlucky not to finish the fight inside the distance.

Yes, Luiz is undefeated in 16 bouts but none of the guys on the receiving end of loss from Luiz can be comparable to Ramos. The bookmaker senses this so we’re handed a heavily juiced line on Ramos which leaves us no other option than to make this selection our parlay piece.

This week, our first-leg accumulator/parlay prediction will be Ricardo Ramos.

Accumulator betting tip 1: Ricardo Ramos [1.40] [-250] @ William Hill

UFC Lightweight Bout

Charles Oliveira vs Jared Gordon

UFC Fight Night 164 takes place on Saturday, November 16th at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Charles Oliveira has been a Brazilian fan-favourite in the UFC since 2010! A nine-year career for the Ultimate Fighting Championship has rewarded Charles with record-breaking performances. He holds the most submission victories in UFC history with 13 fights ending via well-known Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu holds such as; chokes, arm bars, guillotines, anacondas, triangles, and calf slicers. In fact, he must hold the record for the most variety of submission holds on top of submission wins. It doesn’t end with BJJ and submissions; Charles has the striking ability through his Muay-Thai experience to knock his opponent flat on the ground, which he proved against Nik Lentz in his previous fight.

The less experienced fighter but just as tough, Jared Gordon really does have the chips stacked against him in this matchup. He’ll be facing one of the most effective submission artists in the history of the UFC in front of a Brazilian crowd that’s witnessed their home town hero win 15 successive times in his place of birth. Jared comes from humble beginnings and I have no doubt he’s going to bring the fight to the Brazilian. He’s faced some high calibre of opposition in his short amount of time in the UFC and possesses an excellent gas tank, a speedy high output of strikes and the type of fighter who has fought his entire life, not just inside the octagon.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/l-tQnKbXqX4\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

At the end of the day

I’m siding with the veteran in this fight. Although, I do believe Gordon has a path to victory and the current price is a slight disrespect, I can’t ignore a Charles Oliveira who currently seems to be in his prime.

Jared will be the faster striker and should be looking to weather the early storm from Charles. If Jared is going to find success, he’ll find it a lot easier during the later stages of this fight. Charles has shown depleted cardio on multiple occasions and found himself in situations where he was unable to defend rear-naked chokes and a couple devastating power punches.

That said, I think Charles will have an overwhelming presence and support in Brazil that will be added pressure for Jared. I expect a hyped-up Charles Oliveira to make this fight his 15th fight finished inside the distance, which will break the current UFC record tied with Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

Accumulator betting pick 2: Charles Oliveira [1.29] [-334] @ William Hill

Punching Parlay Wrap Up

Ricardo Ramos [1.40]

Charles Oliveira [1.29]

Parlay/Accumulator Odds: [1.81] [-123] with William Hill

Stake: £150

Returns: £271

Profit: £121.50

Current Bankroll: + £114

The Weekly Punching Parlay Season 4 Record: 3-3

Season One Record: 10-0

End of Season 1 Profit: (+10.1 Units of Profit)

Season Two Record: 3-7

End of Season 1 Profit: (-4.95 Units of Profit)

Season Three Record: 7-3

End of Season 1 Profit: (+7.4.
