No more slip ups allowed for last years Champions

Arsenal vs Man City

Sunday 15th December at The Emirates

Arsenal

The Gunners are managerless and have not kept a clean sheet since the 10th October. Recruitment on the defensive side of the football club has been nothing short of shambolic. At the other end of the pitch Arsenal have class individuals in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette meaning goals are never going to be a problem. The whole Arsenal squad needs an overhaul with lame ducks shown the door and class players brought in. With the playing side of the football club in such a mess it has been a very tough job for legend Freddie Ljundberg to come in and try and reverse the fortunes of such a massive institution. Mezut Ozil and Granit Xhaka still get a starting place despite not contributing anything in a positive manner for such a length of time. Nicholas Pepe has managed just two goals in 14 appearances and one of them was in the recent 3-1 win away at West Ham.

KEY Strengths: Aubameyang and Lacazette.

KEY Weakness: Weak Midfield, Weaker Defence, playing in wrong areas, no leaders.

Man City

Last years Premier League Champions are now in a desperate situation of trailing Liverpool by 14 points. Injuries to Sergio Aguero and David Silva are not going to help. You have got to go back to the 26th October to find their last clean sheet. World class midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is in top form but cannot do both sides of the game on his own. Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Stirling with a little bit of Bernado Silva thrown in will score and create plenty of chances. The big question mark is weather the defence can be protected from midfield in the absence of Fernandinho who has had to fill in at the center of defence. Pep Guardiola knows that no more slip ups can be afforded to his Champions if they are to chase down current leaders Liverpool.

KEY Strengths: De Bruyne passing through the lines, Sterling and Jesus Pace and movement

KEY Weakness: Defensive situations ie set pieces or being caught on the break..

Betting Analysis

A joke of a defence trying to keep Sterling Jesus and De Bruyne quiet will be almost impossible. Man City controlling this game is probable, what is a certainty is that City will be able to break on the Gunners when they venture forward and give the ball away cheaply. I don’t think either will keep a clean sheet again and an entertaining game with goals and a win for the visitors is my favored view.

Football Betting Tip: Man City Win and Both teams to score @2.5, Man City -1.5 (AH) @2.1 with Unibet
