Everton will prove too strong for pointless Villa. Flash share's his expert analysis.

Aston Villa vs Everton

Friday 23rd August at Villa Park

Aston Villa Team Preview:

Dean Smith’s men host unbeaten Everton in their second home game in seven days. The Premier League newboy’s are yet to record a victory in the 2019/20 campaign. A lot of money has been spent by the Midlands club in a bid to maintain Premier League status. The whole back unit has been replaced and will need time which is not a commodity Villa have. Goals and opportunities created need to be increased as soon as possible. This Villa squad is very inexperienced at top level of English football and have pressure on them to produce and compete now. So far I have not seen anything that encourages me to think they will not be relegated come next May.

KEY Strengths: Playing in Front of home crowd

KEY Weakness: Back-line not gelling

Everton Team Preview:

The Toffee’s have not conceding a goal so far this season, which is a major plus with all the new signings that have arrived at Goodison. Marco Silva has brought in craft and pace to his squad. Coming into this game unbeaten and with two clean sheets under their belts is a brilliant foundation for the months ahead. The one thing that has not changed is the back five who are now enjoying their second season together. A top seven place in the Premier League has got to be the aim with an organized defence combined with a pacey attack complemented by the vision and wizardry of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Brazilian Bernard.

KEY Strengths: Pace and Strength

KEY Weakness: Not starting at the right tempo

Betting Analysis:

The match up is a team who are winless (Villa) against a team who have 4 pts from 6 and not conceded a goal (Everton). The visitors have pace all over the pitch and quality in the final third to win this game and heap more misery on Aston Villa. The home side can’t come out all guns blazing because Everton will pick them off and have the likes of Richarlison and Bernard bearing down on this inexperienced defence. I see this game potentially being men against boys with the only question being how ruthless Everton want to be.

Top Tips:
Everton to win @2.3 Betfred
Everton and Ov 1.5 @2.62 Betfred
