Sometimes it’s in a relatively obvious bet; sometimes you need to look a little further.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/tDk6usZTdco

AS Roma v Barcelona
The first game I’m looking at is AS Roma v Barcelona. Although Barcelona have a healthy 3 goal lead from the first game, AS Roma did come away with a vital away goal which keeps things a little interesting. Barcelona are the favourites in this one but not to the extent that some of us would have expected. Right now you can back the Blaugrana at home at odds of 1.67 (Pinnacle) which is much better than I expected to see.

This game is close to “tied up” but if Barcelona can get one away goal, then it really is over. I think they will get that goal and more.

Man City v Liverpool
Tuesday’s other game is the one that most people will expect to see some fireworks. Manchester City take on Liverpool with more than a little to prove. They were taken apart by Liverpool in the first game and then showed some real nerves by falling apart in the game that could have decided the title.

You wouldn’t expect Manchester City’s players to struggle mentally at this point in the season but that’s what is happening. At 3 goals down, they’re going to have to push to win this one by a decent margin. I’m going for Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 at odds of 2.08 with bet365. It should be a cracking game and surely Manchester City cannot be quite so poor for 3 games in a row?

Bayern Munich v Sevilla
Wednesday has two games where the tie should be pretty much decided. The most open one of these two is Bayern Munich v Sevilla, where Bayern take a single goal lead into the home leg. Bayern are my tip to win the whole thing this season, and at home I’m expecting them to put in a good performance.

Sevilla have been excellent in this competition and punched well above their weight, but their run ends here and I’m on Both Teams To Score (No) at odds of 2.15 with BetVictor. I was tempted to double that up with a Bayern win but decided to be a little more sensible and leave it at that.

Real Madrid v Juventus
Juve were pulled apart in the last match and I fear for them in this one. They’ve got some greats of the game coming to the end of their careers and I’m sure players like Buffon will not want their last Champions League game to end in miserable defeat. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I expect to happen.

I’m on Real Madrid -1.5 in the Asian Handicap market here and at odds of 2.7 I really think there is good value.
