Many people say that you shouldn’t worry about league tables until October starts. Well, it’s almost here and by the time the last Bundesliga game of the weekend kicks off, we’ll be able to look seriously at the table and think it may have some relevance.

https://youtu.be/nbWbpyRf634

Before we get to the league leaders, we need to look at the Friday night game with two sides that aren’t troubling the big boys just yet. Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen are not having stellar seasons right now and both are so inconsistent that I’m happy to stay out of this one.

With Dortmund storming away at the top of the table (2 points clear and unbeaten in the league) they could be in pole position at the start of October, certainly with a winnable game against Augsburg that looks a real possibility. Dortmund struggled against Augsburg last season, drawing both league matches, but you get the feeling that won’t happen this time. It’s difficult to find a lot of value but I think there is just enough in Dortmund -1.5 (2.3 with Pinnacle) to get me involved.

Borussia Monchengladbach v Hannover is up next and I have to stay away from this one as Hannover have been my bogey team all season. I’m not one to believe in luck or fate but seeing as I’ve struggled along with them all season, I’m taking a back seat on this one.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Stuttgart is a game I have a little something on though. I’m backing the away side on this one as I think there is significant value here. It should be a good one. At 4.25 with Pinnacle, the odds are certainly high enough to bring us in a nice reward if things go that way.

Wolfsburg v Mainz is a tough one for me. I’ve profited from Mainz already this season and I don’t think too highly of Wolfsburg so I’d love to get a bet on but the value just isn’t there right now and I can’t place a bet without the all-important value being there.

Hamburg v Werder Bremen is the last match of the day and despite a couple of recent knockbacks, I’m backing Hamburg in this one. At 2.7 with Pinnacle, the odds aren’t the highest I’ve seen but there is some value there and it’s worth following in my eyes.

The three games on Sunday hold no betting interest for me. Of course, I’ll be interested in seeing Bayern Munich and whether they can put together the kind of sustained winning run they’ll need to chase down yet another Bundesliga title but there is no value in their game against Hertha Berlin and the Freiburg v Hoffenheim game isn’t much better.

I would like to bet on Cologne v RB Leipzig but the away sides Champions League involvement makes that tricky.

So, not a huge number of value bets in the league for me but hopefully enough winners to bring in a profit.
