The Bundesliga may have seen their Champions decided and once again it’s Bayern Munich, but did we really expect anything else? Of course, just because the title is decided, there is plenty left to play for in this weekends games. European involvement, final positions and even survival in the Bundesliga are very much at stake.

And, of course, there is money to be made from betting.

That’s where I come in. It’s not a busy week for betting in the Bundesliga but there are two bets I’m going to take you through for this weekend’s games.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMbHBwHCLLc&feature=youtu.be

VfB Stuttgart vs. Werder Bremen
This mid-table match is Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Arena. If you go by this season’s statistics, this one should not be a bet. My selection is on Werder Bremen to win this one but they don’t have a brilliant record away from home, slightly less than average actually, picking up wins in only 20 percent of their away matches. Add that to the fact that Stuttgart have a good home record and the selection of the away win looks difficult to justify.

Stats don’t tell the whole story, though, and Werder Bremen have a reasonable record in the last 5 meetings between these sides with 3 wins in their last 5 head-to-head matches. You do have to go back to the 2012-13 season for an away victory, though.

At odds of 3.2 with bet365, there is value in this one and that’s what I look for above all else. It may not be a match that has too much riding on it, but a little bit of my money is at stake.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayer Leverkusen
This is my favourite bet of this round. Borussia Dortmund welcome Bayer Leverkusen for a game Saturday that has importance to both sides. Dortmund started the season very badly but, after a change of manager, things have improved and they currently find themselves in 4th place, one spot behind and just 2 goals (they’re equal on points) between them.

The stats definitely back up my systems selection of an away win here. If that does pan out, then the odds of 3.07 (Pinnacle) will be very welcome indeed. I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to hold fire and see if Michy Batshuayi is playing in this one after his injury at the weekend. He has been very important to them since joining on loan and if he doesn’t play, Leverkusen’s chances do go up.

So, those are my two bets for the weekend. Enjoy the games but, as always, be careful with your bets.
