Fran Escriba’s men were handed a nightmare fixture list to begin the campaign, as it pitted them against three of the best sides in Spain: Real Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla. They lost 3-1 to Real in their opener, but then they secured a fantastic 1-0 victory over Valencia at Balbaidos. Then they went to Sevilla and left with a 1-1 draw, which is a superb achievement when you consider how strong Sevilla are at home.

Granada dazzled neutral fans by drawing 4-4 with Villarreal in their opener, and they followed it up with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sevilla. Yet they roared back to form with a 3-0 win over Espanyol last time out and that should give them a confidence boost ahead of this game. Yet Celta Vigo are expected to secure a comfortable mid-table finish this season, while Granada are second favourites to be relegated. Celta also have home advantage, so this is a game they should really be winning.

Team News

Iago Aspas is the main man for Celta Vigo and he should be full of energy for this game after Spain chose not to include him in their squad during the international break. Aspas banged in 20 goals for the Galicians last season, despite missing vast swathes of the campaign with injury, and he really makes Celta Vigo’s attack click. New signing Denis Suarez has also made a lively start to life at the club. However, fans will not be able to see new signing Rafinha in action as he is out with a muscle injury.

Granada signed a number of players after they were promoted to La Liga Primera in the summer, and many of them have slotted straight into the starting 11. Former Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado leads the line, with Fede Vico pulling the strings behind him. New man Domingos Duarte marshals the defence alongside the veteran German Sanchez. They will be in for a busy afrternoon as they try to cope with the considerable threat posed by Aspas in this game.

Betting Analysis

Celta Vigo are the favourites to win this game, but you can still find very attractive odds on the home win. They have won their last four meetings with Granada, and they have the quality to extend that streak on Sunday. When Aspas is fit, Celta Vigo always look dangerous going forwards, and they will be disappointed if they fail to secure victory in this game.

Tip: Celta Vigo to win at 1.91 (10/11) with Bet365
