The Champions League final will be an all-English affair for the first time since 2008

Tottenham vs Liverpool

Saturday, June 1st, Wanda Metropolitano

Last minute goals, amazing comebacks, brilliant matches, huge upsets… Champions League was packed with everything this season. Liverpool have been absolutely magnificent in both domestic league being the best runners-up in the EPL and Champions League qualifying in the final after hammering Barcelona 4-0 in the 2nd leg of their semifinal. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have won the Premier League Golden Boot with 22 goals apiece enjoying yet another successful season with the Reds. Liverpool have some kind of psychological advantage over Tottenham having a great head-to-head record against Spurs which makes them favourites to win this match. They won 9 of their last 14 mutual encounters losing just 1 time in the process. They are priced at 1.95 with Bet365 but anything can happen in this last match. They are aiming to lift their 6th UCL trophy after failing to win it last year losing against Spanish giants Real Madrid.

On the other side, Tottenham found themselves 0-3 down on aggregate but they found a way to book their UCL final tickets with Lucas Moura being their hero scoring a stunning hat-trick against Ajax including a last-second winner. They also pulled-off the upset knocking out Man City in the quarter finals being without their top-scorer Harry Kane in both matches. He is trying to recover from the ankle ligament damage, and he is expected to travel with his teammates to Spain, but we believe he will be on the bench on Saturday. Son Heung Min is the perfect replacement for Kane, and he is expected to lead the attacking line assisted by three offensive midfielders Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli.

On the other side, Klopp can use his best attacking trio with Sadio Manè, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino while Divock Origi one of the semifinal heroes is expected to be benched. Georginio Wijnaldum who came from the bench scoring 2 goals against Barcelona is expected to replace Naby Keita who is still injured.

Liverpool have huge Champions League experience and they will enter this clash determined and eager to lift the trophy after failing to do so last year while Tottenham enter this match having nothing to lose and we expect them to be up to the test and play their best football. Both teams have scored in seven of their last eight head-to-heads. We’ve also seen both teams scoring in the last 8 Champions League finals. We expect Liverpool to win the match in regular time but both teams to score is the play.

Best tip for the match: Both teams to score at 1.8 with Betfair.
