Bad weather combined with mid-week action can provide us with some unexpected results. Can we continue our positive run into the mid-week mayhem of the EFL Championship?

Reading vs Fulham

Tuesday, October 1st at The Madejski Stadium
Betting Tip: 1u Fulham Win @ 2.15 with Unibet

It’s been a rough start to the term for Reading, and it’s not looking great with a mid-week battle against one of the most in-form sides in the entire division.

We’re now 10 games deep into the season and Reading are currently sitting in 20th position. There were early signs of hope for Reading, finding themselves mid-table was a delight; until form dropped and along came the bad results. An early exit from the Carabao Cup was also a dampener on the club.

This past weekend we watched another bottomless performance from ‘The Royals’. A very late but equalizer gave them a point from the clash with Swansea but their lack of efforts early on shouldn’t go unnoticed. Are they going to be capable of doing the same against Fulham? I’d say… probably not!

Fulham head to the Madejski Stadium with their confidence back intact. Although it hasn’t looked pretty for odds on favourites thus far; A wind of change in form has been evident on the pitch. Scott Parker's men are averaging 66% possession and more than 14 shots on target per game. The results haven’t shown but here we have a team more than competent enough to turn those results around in quick fashion. We can’t deny Fulham have been going through a rough patch which nobody expected with this talent-rich team. Fulham handed a struggling Wigan side an easy defeat, with some catching up to do on the league leaders I’m confident they’ll do it again when they play Reading.

Prediction/Tip: Fulham Win @ 2.15 with Unibet

Luton vs Millwall

Wednesday, October 2nd at Kenilworth Road
Betting Tip: 1u Luton Draw No Bet @ 1.73 with Bet365

In one corner; we have a struggling Luton team who are giving their best efforts in the Championship after promotion from League 1. In the other corner; we have a struggling Millwall side who are spending their season in a complementary trend we can recognise from the last term… a relegation battle.

Luton has turned their form in recent weeks. Bagging themselves a handful of wins has taken them out of the relegation zone with 10 points. Another three points from this Luton team could move their position in the table considerably; Millwall should be a less nerve-racking fixture specifically when having the complacency of playing on home turf.

An away win at Blackburn was a huge result for Luton who has now seen their third win in five matches. It seems like the perfect fixture for Luton to capitalize on their current momentum against a fellow relegation battling side who have a poor away form.

Millwall won two of their first three games in the Championship 19/20 season but since, have only managed 4 points from the following six fixtures they had. Five road trips for Millwall have seen no winning games whilst conceding 100% of the time. We should additionally note down that they’re the lowest-scoring team in the league with just 7 goals.

Millwall has been abysmal as of late and if I’m being brutally honest; looking worse than last season which handed them a close escape from relegation.

Luton is by far a team I have absolute confidence in but, we can secure a half-decent price from the ‘draw no-bet’ market against a Millwall side who can’t find the back of the net.

Prediction/Tip: 1u on Luton Draw No Bet @ 1.73 with Bet365

The full slate of EFL bets, tips & predictions (All 1u Plays Unless Stated Otherwise)

EFL Championship

N.
