After the mid-week results, Swansea is the new league leaders. Will the EFL Championship table play musical chairs once again, this weekend?

Swansea vs Stoke

Saturday, October 5th at The Liberty Stadium
Betting Tip: 2u Swansea Win @ 2.05 with Betway

Through a drought of bad results, Swansea City finally found their sixth win of the season this past weekend. Said win was crucial for Swansea in order to gain early season momentum. Can the Welsh side keep it rolling into this weekend’s EFL Championship fixture?

Stoke manager Nathan Jones remains in the manager's hot seat even though his team have managed just two points all season and sit in 24th position. Steve Cooper’s team are separated by 19 points, polar opposite in current form in 1st place.

Swansea hasn’t had the prettiest results as of late, a handful of draws and some surprising losses momentarily put the brakes on but, with a win at the weekend away from home it looks like they could be back to winning ways.

The value Swansea currently holds is shocking, I can’t see these odds remaining the same before Saturday afternoon. Stoke City haven’t won a single game whilst only snatching two points from drawn matches. After trying to figure out why Stoke would hold so much weight with their recent decline, I was left with nothing. The ‘plus’ money available on Swansea is confusing, I’ll take it.

Prediction/Tip: Swansea Win @ [2.05] with Betway

Birmingham vs Middlesbrough

Friday, October 4th at St. Andrews
Betting Tip: 1u Middlesbrough Draw No Bet @ 2.25 with Betway

The dismissal of manager Gary Monk left Birmingham City football club in slight turmoil. A gamble was taken and Pep Clotet hasn’t been able to fix the problem inside Birmingham. Back to back losses leave Birmingham winless in three games. Can ‘the blues’ defend home turf for a bounce-back?

Middlesbrough is slowly but surely finding their feet in the division. Shaky results early on are now being met with improvements in the attack which has been evident in recent draws. 1-1 against Preston and 2-2 at Bristol gave us a glimpse at what the in-form Middlesbrough can achieve. However, Jonathan Woodgate’s side needs the results to match the form; 20th place with only 10 points is a concern. The away form needs an away win.

For what it’s worth, Middlesbrough’s record at St. Andrews has been impressive, to say the least. Middlesbrough beat Birmingham in the past four games played. Birmingham has failed to beat Middlesbrough in the previous five meetings at St. Andrews. If Middlesbrough were going to steal some away points, feeding on the weak form of Birmingham could be the perfect place to start. An away win for Boro is now imperative if wanting to avoid the dreaded relegation zone.

Birmingham is showing strong signs of struggle, Boro aren’t world beaters by any means… but with huge odds falling on our lap, we can cover our back in the ‘draw no bet’ market.

Prediction/Tip: 1u on Middlesbrough Draw No Bet @ [1.73] with Bet365

The full slate of EFL bets, tips & predictions (All 1u Plays Unless Stated Otherwise)

EFL Championship

N.
