Fulham vs Derby

Tuesday, November 26th at Craven Cottage
Betting Tip: Fulham win & under 4.5 goals @ 2.05 [+105] with Coral

Entering the top of the fixture list for this forthcoming bunch of mid-week English Championship fixtures will be Fulham, who currently hold the best home record in the league alongside Leeds United and West Brom. Their opposition, derby county doesn’t have any significant achievements in the league thus far but, with the arrival of Wayne Rooney creeping up close on the east-midlands side it’s evident that ‘The Rams’ are fighting for their spot in play-off contention.

Fulham’s current form (especially on home turf) should give Derby all the worries they don’t want whilst travelling for an away fixture; two days out from their previous fixture. Mid-week games that follow a weekend fixture usually scream “take the under” to your boy Dave but when we have the talent stacked side that is Fulham, whilst playing at home… said prop need’s slightly more value-added to it in order to spark my interest.

Derby doesn’t impress anybody with their away record but, we should highlight that ‘The Rams’ are the polar opposite on home soil. When they’ve packed their bags for road travel this term, they haven’t managed to score one goal in the previous three away days. Concerning, to say the least, defensive troubles become apparent as soon as the home comfort is taken away from the back four. At the start of the season, the situation was worse so, at least they have back to back home wins entering the intimidating Craven Cottage on Tuesday.

Both teams are coming off successful home victories at the weekend, energy won’t be 100% and given Derby’s poor away scoring form and Fulham’s home dominance this term… the win market combined with the under market is the only approach for me this time around.

Prediction/Tip: Fulham win & under 4.5 goals @ [2.05] [+105] with Coral

Sheffield Wednesday vs Birmingham

Wednesday, November 27rd at Hillsborough
Betting Tip: Sheffield Wednesday win @ 2.00 [+100] with Bet365

Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk, should be rubbing his hands together for the clash with Birmingham City on Wednesday. It’ll be the first time he faces his former club. 8 games played at home and 12 points gained for Sheffield should give them more than enough confidence when taking on a Birmingham City; who have been shamefully poor whilst trying to pick up crucial league points on the road.

Four games and no wins for Sheffield may look concerning on the outside but, two of those fixtures saw them clasp draws against Leeds United and Swansea. That said they’re also unbeaten in their previous five home fixtures and could easily lengthen that record against Birmingham.

Birmingham City has played nine fixtures away from home and seven of those were stone-cold losses. They’re now faced with a Sheffield Wednesday side that has been able to pick apart weaker sides at home all season long. Not only that, ill-information outside of Birmingham City football club led to the removal of manager Garry Monk this past summer. After a successful beginning with Sheffield, Monk will be chomping at the bit to prove a point against the club that didn’t handle his dismissal very well.

The value for a Sheffield win was a glorious surprise, given that Birmingham has struggled on the road since the start of the season I assumed bookmakers would’ve given us a slightly steeper price. ‘I’ll take a bit of that mate’, Book it.

Prediction/Tip: Sheffield Wednesday win @ [2.00] [+100] with Bet365

Football bets, tips & predictions

EFL Championship

Cardiff win vs Stoke City @2.47 [+147] with Coral

Charlton DNB vs Luton Town @ 2.45 [+145] with Unibet

Millwall win vs Wigan @ 2.00 [+100] with Bet365

Leeds win & under 4.5 goals vs Reading @ 2.15 [+115] with Coral

West Brom vs Bristol - Draw @ 4.00 [+100] with Williamhill

League 1

Wycombe DNB vs Ipswich @3.00 [+200] with Paddy Power

UEFA Champions League

Bayern Munich -2 vs Red Star Belgrade @2.80 [+180] with Paddy Power
