Let’s take a peek at all the value the English Championship has to offer, with only five weeks of action remaining in the league, playoff spot’s and title contention is still up for grabs in the final stretch.

Aston Villa vs Bristol City

Starting of the domestic season for Aston Villa had its ups and downs, and although it’s a little too late for a title contention… Villas recent form of a 7-game win streak has catapulted them right into a playoff spot giving them the opportunity to once again compete in the English Premier League.

41 games into the season and Villa hold the sixth spot with 66 points. Since the return of skipper Jack Grealish and his role as captain have helped lead Villa to seven straight victories. Another win here would put Villa four points clear of there opponents Bristol who sit in a 6th position trailing Villa by a mere 1 point.

Home and away Villa have netted an impressive 14 goals in the past six games, Bristol has won 3 drawn 2 and lost 1 in the previous six games they’ve played. With no easy task at hand, I still think Villa can get the job done and with close to even odds, I’ll take a chance with the Midlands side to continue their winning streak for another week.

Aston Villa WIN @ 1.91 – 10/11 with Bet365 (1u)

Sheffield Utd vs Millwall

With Sheffield knocked from the number two spot this weekend due to being held to a draw by Birmingham, they will be on top form coming into this weekends home clash vs Millwall.

The first thing that stands out here is Millwall’s away record, 13 defeats away from home this season wouldn’t seem to give them hope against a third-place Sheffield United. In Sheffield’s previous 7 home games, they have won six of those games whilst maintaining a clean sheet and given The Lions poor away form, I wouldn’t be surprised to see another to nil victory by the home side this weekend.

Sheffield Utd is still within reach of winning the English Championship league this season, with a tough nut to crack in Norwich steadily holding top spot and a hard-playing Leeds side in second, Sheffield will need to win these easier style matchups heading into the final weeks of action.

Sheffield Utd to Win @ 1.67 – 4/6 with Coral (1.3u)

Derby County vs Bolton Wanderers

Derby County has a game in hand and with two consecutive victories could see themselves right back in a playoff spot. Currently sat in eight positions, a home win against struggling relegation side Bolton would give them the extra confidence boost they need heading into their Friday night away match against Birmingham next week.

Scoring 12 goals in four games vs the bottom five teams at Pride Park, we can expect a few goals from the home side and Frank Lampard’s men can put some hope in the playoff contention once again. Six points adrift from a playoff spot, with any hope to remain in the contention Derby will see this game as a must win. The hosts aren’t coming into this game on the best form we’ve seen them in, but with the important point’s needed we should see the best version of derby county.

Derby to win at 1.44 with Coral (1.6u)

Queens Park Rangers vs Swansea City

Mid-flight drifters Swansea City broke their four-game losing streak and have now been on a three-game win streak in a bounce back in form. Queens Park Rangers hold one of the worst home forms in the English Championship, losing almost half their matches at Loftus Road.

Swansea’s away form vs lower tier teams should give them the confidence to get the job done against a diminishing QPR side that is barely outside of the relegation zone. The 21-year-old Daniel James put on a great performance in Swansea’s 3-1 victory in their previous match against Stoke City, and it’s that type of young blood confidence that will give Swansea some interesting weeks ahead with still a small chance to gain a playoff spot given the some of the teams above them fail to perform.

Swansea will be looking for their fourth straight victory away to Queens Park Rangers, taking into consideration that QPR has lost half their home matches this season, I think we’ll see Swansea get the job done this weekend. Just to be on the safe side, I’ll take the draw no bet market.

Swansea Draw No Bet at 1.73 – 8/11 with Bet365 (1u)

Full odds for this week English Championship games available HERE

Some of the Best Odds for this week’s Championship games available @Coral
