Both Norwich and Sheffield secured Premiership promotion this past weekend. Now we need time to grab the tissue’s, drop the sad music and put on your put on a black suit… It’s the final weekend of English Championship domestic league matches. So long… farewell.

Aston Villa vs Norwich City
Sunday, May 5, Villa Park

Now obviously we still have EPL and all the cup/playoff games to look forward too, but the weekly dose of lower league games and beautiful value comes to an end this weekend as all twenty-four Championship sides go ahead and play the last game of their season.

The first and second position stay secured, both Norwich and Sheffield have earnt the right with automatic promotion into the Premier League next season. One outcome that isn’t determined just yet is the actual first and second place. Norwich needs to take at least one point away from Aston Villa this Sunday.

After a controversial weekend versus Leeds United, Villa will be looking ahead towards their playoff opportunity in the weeks to come. Managing to secure a top-six place give’s Villa the chance to be the third team that gets a promotion, with that in mind I can’t help but think Villa aren’t going to risk injury or suspension in this match. With Norwich playing for nothing other than 1st or 2nd place, their flow of football should be more fluid and comfortable against a Villa side who might do some squad rotation for this final game of the season which doesn’t hold much gain for Villa.

Although they are undefeated in eleven games, I have to look at the value in the Norwich win. One of the most impressive teams this year will want that first place spot and to finish their season off in style so a Norwich win is something I can’t ignore. With the risk of a draw and value in the draw no bet market, I see great value in this play.

Norwich Draw No Bet @ 1.95 – 19/20 with Coral (1u)

Stoke City vs Sheffield United
Sunday, May 5, Britannia Stadium

Wasting no time, the only teams that will hold any value this weekend in the English Championship will be games with teams that actually have something to play for. In this game, we see Stoke City who have officially placed 16th in the table for the 18/19 season, versus a dangerous and hungry Sheffield United side who have successfully earnt enough points to guarantee themselves a second place, at the least.

I expect Sheffield to have a huge away following for this final game in the Championship, given the fact Sheffield could steal the first position from Norwich if the Canaries lose to Villa… I can see this Sheffield giving their all at Sunday’s fixture at Stoke. The previous fixture was a 1-1 draw, I don’t think we’ll see many goals in this game either. The value on the win and goals total combined is great, so I’ll take a shot on that.

Sheffield United Win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 2.70 – 17/10 with Betway (1u)

Ipswich Town vs Leeds United
Sunday, May 5, Portman Road

It’s been an eventful week, to say the least for Leeds United, drama-filled tension last weekend versus Aston Villa will be sure to leave a sour taste in their mouth. Leeds missed out on automatic promotion but still have a chance in the Championship Playoffs as they sit in third place.

This weekend they go up against the bottom of the league and already relegated side Ipswich Town. This play might seem obvious but with this being the last day of the season…expect the unexpected. That said, I still think Leeds United will take away the win. With a worse goal difference than 4th place West Brom, Leeds could now lose the third position spot which could be crucial in earnings and playoff position.

It’s quite obvious Ipswich Town do not pose any threat to Leeds, and I’m sure after the drama that Leeds faced last weekend will fire them up to take away a decisive win here.

Leeds United Win & Over 1.5 Match Goals @ 2.00 – 1/1 with Betway (1u)

Check here all best available odds for England Championship

Some More Football Bet’s I’m On

Champions League

Barcelona vs Liverpool – Barca Win & Both Teams to Score @ 3.40 with Bet365 (0.5u)

Europa Cup

Frankfurt vs Chelsea – Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.91 with Bet365 (0.65u)

Arsenal vs Valencia – Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.91 with Bet365 (0.65u)

Premier League

West Ham vs Southampton Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.30 with Bet365 (1u)

Newcastle vs Liverpool – Liverpool Win & Both Teams to Score @ 3.00 with Betfred (0.5u)

Round-Up

Norwich Draw No Bet @ 1.95 – 19/20 with Coral (1u)

Sheffield United Win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 2.70 – 17/10 with Betway (1u)

Leeds United Win & Over 1.5 Match Goals @ 2.00 – 1/1 with Betway (1u)
