Let’s take a peek at all the value the English Championship has to offer, as we head into the final six weeks with everything to play for.

I can’t say I’m sad about, Birmingham is a 20-minute drive from my home of Coventry and watching their demise brings nothing but joy to rival club’s supporters like me.

This weekend they face the ever improving Leeds United, in what is set out to be a battle of the top vs a battle of the bottom. Birmingham is sitting just above the relegation zone surrounded by teams with a similar amount of points, they decided to throw away any sort of form they had at the most important part of the season and they come into Saturday's clash on a 5 game losing streak. Not only that, they have only managed to score in 1 of those fixtures.

With the return of Leeds United top goal scorer Kemar Roofe, Birmingham is up against one of the best attacking midfield that the championship has to offer. Leeds United enter this game with title hopes on their mind, just 5 points adrift from Norwich holding the number 1 spot they will be playing some of their best football this weekend.

Birmingham will also need to find some fighting spirit, relegation is not out of the question for the blues and with QPR facing Norwich they can overtake them in the table with a win.

I think I’ll be taking a shot with two different markets in this game, I do think Leeds will win the game but with so much at risk, I can’t see Birmingham just laying down and taking the beating.

Leeds United WIN @ 2.05 with William Hill (1u) – Both Teams to Score (1u) @ 1.91 with Betfred

Norwich City vs. Queens Park Rangers

With the EFL awards approaching this weekend, star striker and championship-leading top goal scorer ‘Teemu Pukki’ will surely be out to impress. 24 goals put Teemu 6 goals away from beating the all-time goal scoring record in the championship which is held by ‘Glenn Murray’ with 30 goals back in the 12-13’ season. I love the anytime goalscorer market but so does the bookmaker, William Hill is offering odds as low as 1.62 for Teemu to score anytime, which holds no value at all. Although Norwich is far from a one-man team, expect Teemu to be on top form this weekend looking to seal his name on the ‘EFL Player of the year award’.

Just like the previous game, we broke down, these teams are both fighting for opposite end goals. Norwich sits in first place whilst QPR is struggling to stay away from the relegation zone with Birmingham slowly creeping up behind them in the table. Norwich has lost just one game this year and are currently riding a 7 game win streak, with the chances of Leeds United snatching the title away from Norwich I have no doubt they will come into this game gun’s blazing and do not fancy a battle for the title with only a 6 games left to play this season and 5 points’s separating the first and second spot in the league.

Naturally, the bookmaker is not going to give us much value on the Norwich win here, so I’ve been racking my mind on which value play makes the most sense. Given the fact that QPR has managed to squeeze quite a few goals away from home, I like Norwich to win but concede at least one goal.

Norwich Win & Both Teams to Score @ 2.9 with Coral (0.5u)

Preston North End vs. Sheffield United

Another top tier team will finish off this week’s championship tips, with Sheffield United taking the trip this weekend to face Preston North End.

Prior to last week’s defeat against Bristol, Sheffield had been in great form. Conceding zero goals at home since December 26th, I think the absence of mid-fielder Mark Duffy was a thorn in the side of Sheffield and might have been the reason for such an unexpected result. Unlucky for them, it seems like he will not be returning for the fixture against Preston with no word on him being declared fit for the match.

Preston is fighting for a playoff spot so it’s not like they have nothing to play for, and given Sheffield’s poor performance against Bristol… I can easily see Preston scoring here or potentially grabbing the win.

Top goal scorer ‘Billy Sharp’ will be looking to surpass ‘Teemu Pukkis’ top goalscoring record as just 1 goal separates the two from the top spot. Bookies are offering a much better price on Billy compared to Teemu this week so taking a chance on Billy to score anytime holds a lot of value in my opinion.

Both Teams to Score @ 1.83 with Coral (1u) – Billy Sharp to Score Anytime @ 2.55 with Unibet (0.5u)
