Some of the world's finest teams are in action on Saturday as Euro 2020 qualifiers take place.

Greece v Italy

Saturday, June 8, Athens Olympic Stadium

Italy are undergoing a huge rebuilding process after their failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. Stalwarts like Gianluigi Buffon and Daniele De Rossi have retired and new manager Roberto Mancini has given youngsters like Moise Kean a chance to shine. Yet there is still an experienced core running through this side, with Juventus duo Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini available to anchor the defence. Jorginho has been left out of the squad after his Europa League exploits, but Marco Veratti and youngster Nicolo Zaniolo provide strong options in midfield, while Italy are blessed with exciting forwards like Fabio Quagliarella, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne. They should be strong enough to overwhelm a tough and stubborn but technically limited Greece team in Athens. They beat Finland 2-0 and Liechtenstein 6-0 in their first two games and they are two points clear of Greece at the top of the table. Greece have beaten Liechtenstein and they picked up a 2-2 draw away at Bosnia, but Italy represent a large step up in quality.

Tip: Italy to win at even money (2.0) with Ladbrokes

Turkey v France

Saturday, June 8, Torku Arena

World champions France are the favourites to win Euro 2020 and they have won both of their qualifying games so far. They thrashed Iceland 4-0 and Moldova 4-1, with forward trio Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann impressing throughout. They really should be far too strong for Turkey. Şenol Güneş’ men have also won two out of two, beating Albania and Moldova, but France have the best team in the world and they will struggle to deal with the physicality of players like Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante and Mbappe.

Tip: France to win and over 1.5 goals at even money (2.0) with Paddy Power

Iceland v Albania

Saturday, June 8, Laugardalsvollur

Iceland have generated huge media coverage across the globe for their footballing exploits in recent years. First they knocked England out of Euro 2016 en route to a quarter-final appearance. Then they became the smallest country to ever qualify for the World Cup when they finished ahead Croatia, Ukraine and Turkey in a very strong group. They have a population of just 330,000, smaller than that of Coventry, so they have punched well above their weight. A 2-2 friendly draw with world champions France in October 2018 further bolstered their status in world football. Yet since then they have struggled. They lost all four Nations League games to finish bottom of their group and that miserable campaign including a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Switzerland. They beat Andorra in their World Cup qualifying opener, but then lost 4-0 to France. This represents a great opportunity to get their qualification bid back on track. Albania have already beaten Andorra, but they lost to Turkey and they are not a footballing powerhouse.

Tip: Iceland to win at 7/10 (1.70) with Boyle Sports

Croatia v Wales

Saturday, June 8, Gradski vrt

Croatia enjoyed a fairy-tale run to the World Cup final last year and they are now up to fifth in the FIFA world rankings. They beat Azerbaijan to begin their World Cup qualifying campaign, but then slumped to a surprise defeat against Hungary last time out. They will be desperate to return to winning ways at the weekend. Croatia are missing key players like Ivan Rakitic for this game, but they have decent strength in depth nowadays and they should dominate the possession in this game. Luka Modric will dictate the tempo and Wales could be chasing the ball for much of the game, which is less than ideal considering how hot it will be in Croatia. Wales will be bold and ambitious when they see the ball, but they are likely to be ground down under the Croatian sun.

Tip: Croatia -0.75 Asian handicap at 31/40 (1.78) with Bet365
