The English will look to enact some revenge on Croatia following their World Cup semi final defeat in Russia, 2018. This time around they have no excuses as they have an arguably better squad and playing on home soil in Wembley. Elsewhere Austria need a win over North Macedonia if they wish to see the knockout phase of the competition and the Dutch have a difficult home tie against Shevchenko’s Ukraine.

England vs. Croatia

Sunday, June 13, 2021 – 2:00 PM GMT at Wembley Stadium

England and Croatia have met once since that World Cup semi finals game, with the English coming out as 2-1 winners with goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Keane. This will no doubt be England's toughest test in the group stage and on home soil, they will want to impress and come away with all three points.

Croatia will look to shut the shop here as their main talisman up top Mario Mandzukic has retired since the 2018 World Cup. Recent games have seen them very leaky at the back, conceding 12 goals in just six games against top opposition. Croatia would take a draw in their opener to England. Croatia will look to break down attacks in the midfield and potentially set up a counter attack.

Harry Keane will be eager to get his tournament off and running and will look to net a goal in Wembley stadium. We are taking the striker to score a goal in the opening game, and we also like him to have 2+ shots on target, although there are no lines or odds up for this bet, yet we feel they should be around 1.70.

Euro 2020 Tip: Harry Keane To Score at 2.0 with Bet365 (visit our Bet365 Review)

Austria vs. North Macedonia

Sunday, June 13, 2021 – 5:00 PM GMT at Arena Națională

North Macedonia will play their first ever major tournament match on Sunday in Bucharest as they face Austria. Don’t let the name of the country or their odds of 500/1 outright winners cause any misconceptions, North Macedonia are a well organised team, and their lead by veteran striker Goran Pandev, who is their all-time capped player with 119 games and will be one of the oldest players at this tournament aged 37.

North Macedonia have only lost two of their previous 14 matches, which also includes an impressive 2-1 victory over Germany. They have been equally impressive in their pre-tournament friendlies. Austria on the other hand are struggling with just one win in six and their could be a scalp up for grabs here.

North Macedonia like to start their matches quickly and take the lead early and they have done so in 10 of their previous 14 matches, hence the reason we are very much liking the odds on them to score in the first half at 3.40. Our official and best play for this match however is North Macedonia to score anytime at 1.80.

If you're really brave you could look towards Goran Pandev to score first and North Macedonia to be winning 1-0 at half time at odds of 27.0 with Betfair.

Euro 2020 Tip: North Macedonia to Score Anytime at 1.80 with Paddy Power

Netherlands vs. Ukraine

Sunday, June 13, 2021 – 8:00 PM GMT at Johan Cruyff Arena

The orange colours of the Netherlands are finally back in a major competition after failing to qualify for the 2016 Euros or the 2018 world cup. A welcome bonus to their reappearance on the world stage is getting a chance to play all three group games on home soil.

The Netherlands will face their toughest test first as they play host to dark horses Ukraine, who on their day can be a very dangerous team to come up against. The Netherlands' preparation hasn’t been ideal as new coach Frank De Boer has been ridiculed for his negative approach.

Shevchenko’s Ukraine have a strong squad of attackers and will likely sit deep and look to pounce on the counter attack. It’s a game we think we can see the Netherlands just about winning but we wouldn’t be confident to bet on them at odds of 1.60.

We believe there to be strong value in backing under 3.5 goals and taking over 2.5 cards in this Euro 2020 match. Both teams combined average 3.5 cards per game, and we really can't see four goals being scored here with Ukraine defending so deep.

Euro 2020 Tip: Over 2.5 Cards and Under 3.5 Goals at 1.75 with 888Sport (visit our 888Sport Review)
