Betting Preview and tips for the Europa League quarter finals. We have eight very competitive teams left in this year’s competition; no team will see their opponents as a “gimme”, but Arsenal do arguably have the easiest matchup of the quarter finals. Check out our top betting tips ahead of the Europa League quarter finals first leg.

Ajax vs. Roma

Thursday, April 8, 2021 – 8:00 PM GMT at Johan Cruyff Arena

Ajax will feel the most confident of these two teams heading into this quarter final fixture after going undefeated in their previous 24 games in all competitions. Roma are already on the back foot, given the fact they have no less than seven players out injured. And if things weren’t bad enough for the Italian team, they have only picked up five wins from their previous 13 away games in all competitions.

The one thing Roma might have going for them is Ajax’s home record vs. Italian opponents in European competitions. Ajax have only won four out of their previous 19 games against Italian opposition.

A victory for Ajax here could see them equal Sevilla’s record of 11 straight home wins in the Europa League. If Ajax are pushing for the win here, they will need Dušan Tadić to be on form as he has scored in seven of his previous eight appearances for the home side.

We see an Ajax win and goals in this game, so take over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.75 with Unibet. Interestingly, we are not as confident in the over 2.5 goals if Roma were to win the game. So as a side bet, what we like is Ajax and over 2.5 goals at odds of 2.90.

Score Prediction: 2-1

Europa League Tip: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.75 with Unibet

Arsenal vs. Slavia Prague

Thursday, April 8, 2021 – 8:00 PM GMT at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal will have to vastly improve their form if they wish to see off Slavia Prague over the course of two legs. The Gunners are currently on a three-game winless streak. In their previous match (a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool) they only managed one shot before half time, for the first time in five years in a Premier League match.

Prague have already knocked out two British clubs in this year’s tournament (Rangers and Leicester) and Mikel Arteta and his players must have respect for the Czech side or they will be their third British victim.

Arsenal have won seven and drew one of their last eight games against Czech opposition. The Gunners have one of the best teams in the competition on paper. We believe Arsenal will be up for this game and having not won now in three matches, we don’t want to oppose them on home soil. It should be a hard fought win, no doubt.

Score Prediction: 2-1

Europa League Tip: Arsenal Win + Over 2.5 Goals at 2.60 with Betfair (visit our Betfair Review)

Dinamo Zagreb vs. Villarreal

Thursday, April 8, 2021 – 8:00 PM GMT at Stadion Maksimir

Unless you’re a Zagreb fan or Villarreal fan, this wouldn’t be a game on many people's radar to watch and neither team is heavily fancied to win this year's competition. With that being said, these teams are very dangerous and, on their day, could beat any team remaining in this year's tournament.

Zagreb knocked out Tottenham in the previous round and have only lost once in this year's competition, with eight wins, two draw and one loss. Additionally, the creation side has been most dangerous in the second half, with 65% of their goals coming after half time.

Villarreal love to play away from home in Europe and their stats don’t lie. In their previous 19 away games they have racked up a whopping 13 wins, six draws, and zero defeats.

We expect this to be a tight game from the offset. Although sparks might fly in the second half and even in the second leg, we believe a half time draw is on the cards here.

Score Prediction: 0-1

Europa League Tip: Half Time Draw at 2.05 with Bet365 (visit our Bet365 Review)

Granada vs. Manchester United

Thursday, April 8, 2021 – 8:00 PM GMT at Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes

Granada is a team whose form this season has been very inconsistent and it shows when we look back on their form. The team from Spain has not drawn a match in 11 fixtures, and they are also on a run of three matched without a win. With that being said, they are having an amazing first season in the Europa League and have beaten teams from eight different countries on their journey to the quarter finals.

Man Utd have drawn a lot of their recent away games, five of the previous ten. This Man Utd side refuses to give up in games and have rescued 25 points in the Premier League from losing position, the highest in the league.

We believe Granada could register their first draw in over two months in this fixture. They will be up for this game against the tournament favourites at this stage of the competition.

We expect Man Utd to go through over the two legs, but we like Granada to hold their own in the first half. Take half time draw at odds of 2.0 with William Hill. Interestingly, Man Utd have seen 11 of their previous 13 away games end in a draw at half time.

Score Prediction: 1-1

Europa League Tip: Half Time Draw at 2.0 with William Hill (visit our William Hill Review)
