As always on Europa League night there is plenty of football going on and plenty of opportunities for us to make some money. To make things a bit easier I’m going to restrict myself to matches.

As always on Europa League night, there is plenty of football going on and plenty of opportunities for us to make some money.

To make things a bit easier I’m going to restrict myself to matches where I only find value in the Match Odds market. That still leaves around 8 selections so I’m not short of choice.

As I’ve said before, the value can be found in both short odds and long odds selections. This first one definitely falls into the short odds category as I’m backing Villarreal to beat Steaua Bucharest on home turf. The odds are low at 1.36 with Pinnacle but they should be lower as Steaua have been pretty poor so far and Villarreal should have enough about them to come out ahead on this one.

That’s it from the early evening games as nothing else is standing out to me but in the games due to kick off at 6pm there are a few more.

The first is my first away bet of the evening. I’m backing Saint Etienne to pick up 3 points against Anderlecht. At 3.2 with Pinnacle, this is probably one of the best value bets of the evening for a side looking to pick themselves up after a disappointing defeat to Rennes at the weekend.

AS Roma takes on Romanian side Astra Giurgiu at the same time and at odds of 2.4 with William Hill they should be backed quite heavily in my opinion. Roma have already qualified from the group in top spot but professional obligation should be enough to keep even a rotated Roma side motivated enough for this one.

In Group F Rapid Vienna welcomes Athletic Bilbao for their final group game. Bilbao are currently in second place in the group but will be looking to usurp Racing Genk in the top spot as they take on Sassuolo who have underperformed in this competition.

I’m backing Bilbao to come through with an away win (2.3 with William Hill) and also backing Sassuolo to show up for professional pride and win at home against Genk (2.26 with Pinnacle).

Three more bets to go and they’re all in the evening games.

First up is the tight match between Red Bull Salzburg and Schalke. This could go either way in reality but the value is with Schalke here. Despite a poor start to the Bundesliga season, they’ve been putting in some good Europa League performances and another win here would give them 6 wins out of 6. You can get 2.83 for an away win with Pinnacle.

French league leaders Nice will be exiting this competition after this game. Perhaps they’ve been concentrating on domestic matters but the side sitting atop Ligue 1 has not excelled in the Europa League and currently sit bottom of their group. The game against FK Krasnodar will have no real value but I still like the home victory. It is a risky one though so I wouldn’t blame you if you skipped it. If you did decide to follow this bet then you can get 2.22 with Pinnacle.

Last but not least is the match between Southampton and Hapoel Beer Sheva. Southampton have not made things easy for themselves in this competition so far and they need a win here to guarantee qualification. I think they can get it but so do the bookies. The odds are low at 1.44 with both BetVictor and Pinnacle but I think there is a tiny slice of value to be had there.

As always, shop around for the best odds and try to get as much value out of each bet as possible.
