There are some good games this week and I have four bets for you to make thigs a little bit more interesting.

Last week was not an auspicious occasion as my fears came true and it ended quite painfully.

Obviously, I’m hoping for better this weekend and things certainly look a lot more promising. With four tips to get through and only a certain amount of page space, forgive me if I push through the tips this week.

My first bet is in Friday night’s game between Angers and Nice and I may not be going for the team you expect. Nice are higher in the league and could easily be viewed as having the better side out of the two but on this occasion I’m avoiding the away team and backing the home side here.

Angers have a good record against Nice, are the better side when you compare the home/away results and are also in slightly better form.

You can get odds of 2.51 with Pinnacle on the home side.

Up next is that bad penny I just can’t get rid of. Bordeaux are playing against Toulouse on Sunday and once again Toulouse have been selected as the value bet. They’re away this week and the odds are very attractive. I’d be a lot happier if they were the home side though as statistically, they have an edge there. Bordeaux aren’t as good as they have been recently though, so the odds of 5 with BetVictor represent some value, shaky as it may be.

My next bet is one I am altogether happier with. The match is 2nd (Lille) against 4th (Montpellier) and I’m backing the home side here. Lille are a very good side on an excellent run and Montpellier have slipped down the table with 4 draws in their last 5 matches.

If comparing statistics then Lille come out ahead on pretty much every stat except one, Montpellier have a very tough defence (the 2nd best in the league statistically) and Lille will need to be on form to get past them. The odds are good for the home side though with Pinnacle offering 2.03 on the home side. If the odds were to move up then this bet gets even better but I’d be happy backing this one into evens.

My final bet of the week is on one of my old local sides. I used to go and watch Rennes semi-regularly back when I lived in Brittany and I’ve been a bit disappointed with the direction they’ve taken over the last few years as they became progressively more defensive.

They’re away against Reims this week and although they still haven’t become much of an attacking force, Rennes should be good enough to get through this one with all 3 points.

Check out Pinnacle for the best odds on this one. They’re offering 3.27.

My Bets

Angers to win at home against Nice – 2.51 with Pinnacle.

Toulouse to win away against Bordeaux – 5.00 with Bet365

Lille to win at home against Montpellier – 2.03 with Coral

Rennes to win away against Reims – 3.27 with Pinnacle.
