There are just a handful of La Liga games to look forward to this weekend, but discerning punters can find good value.

Atletico Madrid v Valladolid

Date: Saturday, April 27, at 3.15pm
Venue: Wanda Metropolitano Stadium

Atletico Madrid extended their winning streak to six games at Wanda Metropolitano when they beat Valladolid 3-2 in a thrilling match on Wednesday night. Their home games are not usually so entertaining, as they typically grind out wins to nil. They have the best home record in the league this season, with 14 wins, two draws and just one defeat in 17 games, and in that time they have conceded a mere nine goals. They score fewer than two per match, but they keep things extremely tight at the back. In Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata, they have players that can torment opposition defences, allowing them to shrug off the absence of Diego Costa. Valladolid have managed just 14 goals in 17 away games so far this season, and they are unlikely to have much joy against this mean Atletico defence.

Tip: Atletico to win to nil at 21/20 (2.05) with Bet365

Leganes v Celta Vigo

Date: Saturday, April 27, at 5.30pm
Venue: Butarque

Celta Vigo have enjoyed a strong upturn in form since the talismanic Iago Aspas returned to the starting line-up after an absence with injury. The Spanish international has banged in six goals in his last five games and that has carried them out of the relegation zone and up to 16th in the table. They have lost just once in five matches and that came away at Atletico, with Aspas missing that game. He should be fit to start this one on Saturday against Leganes, who are winless in four matches. They should have enough points to avoid relegation and they appear to have checked out somewhat for the season. Celta Vigo remain just two points clear of the drop zone and they are desperate for results, so that extra motivation could swing this one in their favour.

Tip: Celta Vigo draw no bet at 11/8 (2.38) with Unibet

Barcelona v Levante

Date: Saturday, April 27, at 7.45pm
Venue: Camp Nou

Barcelona are expected to rest most of their key players when Levante visit the Nou Camp on Saturday evening. Ernesto Valverde’s men are 12 points clear of Atletico, with four games remaining, and bookmakers have stopped taking bets on them winning the title, despite Atletico having a game in hand. They are in no real danger of losing their lead before the end of the season, so they can afford to preserve their key men ahead of Wednesday’s huge Champions League semi-final clash with Liverpool. This is the first time Barca have reached the semis since 2015 and they will need to be at their very best to beat the Reds, who finished runners-up last year and look better this time around. That means we are unlikely to see Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and co against Levante, who could well capitalise. Barcelona changed virtually their entire starting 11 when they faced Huesca a couple of weeks ago, preserving them for a European game against Man Utd, and they ended up drawing 0-0. That should give Levante hope for this game, particularly after they thrashed Real Betis 4-0 on Wednesday to move up to 14th in the table. They are only three points above the relegation zone and fighting for their lives, so they should be well up for this game.

Tip: Levante +2 Asian handicap at 3/4 (1.75) with Betway
