The relegation battles rages on in La Liga and Getafe are on the brink of Champions League qualification for the first time in their history.

Atletico Madrid v Sevilla

Date: Sunday, May 12, at 5.30pm

Venue: Wanda Metropolitano Stadium

Atletico slumped to a hugely disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of mid-table outfit Espanyol last time out and they will be desperate to return to winning ways on Sunday. They have nothing left to play for this season, as they are guaranteed to finish second in the league and they have no cup finals to look forward to, but their general pride will motivate them to win this one. Sevilla always struggle on the road and they have lost nine of their 18 away trips this season, a record that has once more cost them a shot at securing Champions League football. Atletico have the league’s best home record, with 15 wins, two draws and just one defeat at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium this season, and they should be able to vanquish Sevilla in this one.

Tip: Atletico Madrid to win at 6/5 (2.20) with Betway

Barcelona v Getafe

Date: Sunday, May 12, at 5.30pm

Venue: Camp Nou

Barca have already wrapped up the title and they rested their entire first team for last weekend’s game against Celta Vigo. They duly lost 2-0 and Getafe will fancy their chances of securing victory at Camp Nou this weekend. There is no point in Barcelona risking injury to their stars when they have Champions League commitments to factor in, so it would make sense for Ernesto Valverde to make wholesale changes once more. Getafe would be well placed to capitalize as they have enjoyed a remarkable season and sit fourth in the table with just two games to play. They are on the brink of securing Champions League football for the first time in their history, but Valencia are breathing down their necks and they need to keep picking up points.

Tip: Getafe-draw double chance at 13/8 (2.63) with Bet365

Rayo Vallecano v Valladolid

Date: Sunday, May 12, at 5.30pm

Venue: Estadio de Vallecas

A 4-1 defeat at the hands of Levante saw Rayo Vallecano relegated last weekend. However, Valladolid remain in the thick of the relegation battle, as they are just one point clear of the drop zone. They have hit form at the perfect time of the season, winning two of their last three games to give themselves a great chance of survival. Yet they will be wary of Girona leapfrogging them in the table, so they will be highly motivated to win this game and that could well be enough to swing it in their favour.

Tip: Valladolid to win at 19/20 with Betway

Leganes v Espanyol

Date: Sunday, May 12, at 5.30pm

Venue: Butarque

This is an inconsequential game amid all the relegation drama in La Liga this coming weekend, but that means we could be in for an entertaining match. Both of these mid-table sides can play without pressure or anxiety and that should make it an interesting spectacle for the neutrals. Leganes thumped Sevilla 3-0 on the road last time out, while Espanyol battered Atletico, so both teams will be full of confidence. It finished 3-2 to Leganes when these teams met at Butarque last season and a similarly open game could unfold on Sunday.

Tip: Both teams to score at 3/4 (1.75) with Bet365
