Lille will bid to maintain their remarkable form when they travel to Toulouse at the weekend, while Nice welcome Caen to the French Riviera.

Nice v Caen

Date: Saturday, April 20, at 7pm

Venue: Allianz Riviera

Patrick Vieira’s men have enjoyed a strong improvement in form in recent weeks, with two wins and two draws in their past four games. They are up against a Caen side that have lost four of their last five matches and sit rock bottom of the table. It therefore looks like developing into a comfortable home win for Nice on the south coast on Saturday evening. They won 4-1 when these teams met here last season, which should give them confidence ahead of this clash. They picked up a 1-1 draw at Caen earlier in the campaign, but they really should be able to take all three points once more in front of their home fans.

Tip: Nice to win at 5/6 (1.83) with Marathon and 4/5 (1.80) with Betway

Strasbourg v Montpellier

Date: Saturday, April 20, at 7pm

Venue: Stade de la Meinau

Strasbourg put their fans through the wringer in a pulsating 3-3 draw with relegation threatened Guingamp last weekend. A brace from Ludovic Ajorque was not enough to hand them victory, and they will be ruing their defensive lapses after enjoying 65% of the possession. They have banged in 13 goals in their last five Ligue 1 matches, with Nuno Da Costa in fine form alongside Ajorque, but the defence has really let them down. They have kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 league matches, and they are the only side to concede three against lowly Guingamp all season. Montpellier look tired at the back and they have not kept a clean sheet in seven games. Yet they have scored 13 goals in that time and that has kept them in contention for a European spot. They are currently sixth, four points ahead of Strasbourg, but they could struggle to contain Da Costa and Ajorque in this one. It finished 1-1 when they met earlier this season and a similar result could be on the cards here.

Tip: Both teams to score at 21/20 (2.05) with William Hill

Toulouse v Lille

Date: Sunday, April 21, at 2pm

Venue: Stadium de Toulouse

Lille should go into this game surging with confidence after thrashing league leaders PSG 5-1 last weekend. The Parisians had a man sent off, but it was nevertheless a sensational performance against such an expensively assembled side. They look nailed on for a second placed finish, as they are eight points ahead of Lyon, and that is a great achievement for Lille. Nicolas Pepe has led the charge, banging in 19 goals and providing 11 assists, so he will be in high demand come the summer. But he may be tempted to stay and play Champions League football for his team, who have displayed flair and determination all season. Only four teams have a worse home record than Toulouse this season, but they have put enough points on the board to stave off any fears of relegation. Lille have more to play for and should win this one.

Tip: Lille to win at 5/4 (2.25) with Betway or Lille draw no bet at 63/100 (1.63)

Reims v Saint Etienne

Date: Sunday, April 21, at 4pm

Venue: Stade August-Delaune

Saint Etienne are in excellent form right now and a 3-0 victory over Bordeaux last time out saw them consolidate their grip on fourth place in the table. They have picked up three wins and a draw in their last four games and they are now just three points behind Lyon. It has been a remarkable turnaround, as they almost went down last season, but they have been brilliant this time around. Reims are also enjoying a good campaign and they are seventh after back-to-back draws. Yet Saint Etienne have never lost to Reims and they should fancy their chances of getting another result in this one.

Tip: Saint Etienne draw no bet at 77/100 (1.77) with Marathon
