PSG wrapped up the Ligue 1 title weeks ago, but there is still plenty left to play for in the French top flight.

Saint Etienne v Montpellier

Friday, May 10, Geoffroy-Guichard

Two of Ligue 1’s form teams will lock horns in a fascinating clash at Geoffroy-Guichard on Friday night. St Etienne have won four games in a row to consolidate their grip on a top four place. They are just one point behind third placed Lyon, with three games remaining, and they could nab a Champions League place if they overtake them. But they face a difficult match against Montpellier, who have secured three wins and a draw from their last four games to move up to fifth in the standings. It finished 0-0 when these teams met in Montpellier earlier this season, but both teams are in better goalscoring form now: Montpellier have scored in their last four matches and St Etienne have scored in their last seven.

Tips:

All Odds at WillHill
St Etienne to win at 7/10 (1.70)
Both teams to score at 8/11 (1.73)
or
St Etienne to win and both teams to score at 9/4 (3.25)

Caen v Reims

Saturday, May 11, at 7pm, Stade Michel-d’Ornano

Caen are making a decent fist of their bid to avoid relegation and they have taken two wins and a draw from their last three games. They remain marooned in 18th place, but they are just three points behind Monaco and four behind Amiens, so they could yet beat the drop. Reims are comfortable in ninth place after a strong season, but their form has dipped in recent weeks. They have drawn four and lost two of their last six games, and their last win came in mid-March. It finished 2-2 when they met in December and now Caen enjoy home advantage, so they should feel confident in their ability to get a result from this game.

Tip: Caen draw no bet at 4/6 (1.67) with William Hill

Rennes v Guingamp

Sunday, May 12, at 2pm, Stade de la Route de Lorient

Rennes are without a win in seven games and that has seen them slip down to 13th in the table. They have scored eight times in their last four matches, but they are conceding too many goals and a leaky defence has cost them several points. They have a great chance to return to winning ways against bottom-of-the-table Guingamp on Saturday. Jocelyn Gourvennec’s will be officially relegated if they are unable to win this game. They are also winless in their last seven matches, so they look doomed. However, they have won their last three matches against Rennes, so they have a glimmer of hope.

Tip: Both teams to score at 4/5 (1.80) with Unibet

Lille v Bordeaux

Sunday, May 12, at 4pm, Stade Pierre-Mauroy

Lille have enjoyed a superb season in Ligue 1 and victory in this game would see them clinch second place. That would give them an automatic berth in next season’s Champions League and they would receive a massive boost to their finances, paving the way for further improvements. They should be able to pull it off against a struggling Bordeaux side who have lost four on the bounce to slip down to 14th in the standings. Bordeaux beat Lille 1-0 at the start of the season and now Christophe Galtier’s in-form side will be keen for revenge. Bordeaux have lost 10 out of 17 away games this season, while Lille are strong at home. They typically start slow, but come on strong after the break and they should overwhelm Bordeaux in the late stages of the game.

Tip: Second half to be the highest scoring half at 21/20 (2.05) with William Hill
