Despite a limited amount of matches being played this weekend due to all the exterior competitions taking place, it is time to find the best bets on the board around the landscape of Major League Soccer.

With the Gold Cup, Copa America and U.S Open Cup tournaments all running concurrently, it has left many an MLS manager with a short roster of players to put on the pitch in an already thin league of talent.

Regardless, we have 6 games taking place around the United States this weekend, so let's find everyone the tips worth backing.

Cincinnati vs. LA Galaxy

Saturday, June 22, Nippert Stadium

I must admit, when I opened the board and saw this first game of the weekend being played, I knew right where I was going to look for the action. With both teams sitting at about 2.65 on the 3-way 1x2 line, I moved right to the draw no bet offers knowing we’d be getting even money on either side.

Even though Portland pretty much dismantled LA on Wednesday in the U.S Open Cup, Cincinnati lost to St. Louis just a few hours before that in the same competition. St. Louis people!

Cincinnati is missing any talent they have to speak of on International duty, so that really leaves this team short of players that would put fear in anyone.

Ibrahimovic sat out of the Cup match to be a go for this outing as well, and he alone could provide more than anything Cincinnati could think of putting out there.

Tip: LA Galaxy Draw No Bet @ 2.00 with Pinnacle

Chicago vs. Real Salt Lake

Saturday, June 22, Seatgeek Stadium

Speaking of St. Louis, they also took out Chicago last week in the U.S Open Cup to take out 2 MLS team in the competition.

Now, the line setters seem to think that Chicago has it all figured out, as they list the Fire as heavy favorites this weekend at home. I digress, although not too far because I see the +1 handicap with RSL sitting at even money.

Chicago is simply not going to beat RSL by 2 or more goals, and should they get stuck on 2 - 1 than so be it. I can walk away with a push on the +1 action if need be, even though RSL isn’t exactly full of talent either. Their health issues have driven coach Petke crazy trying to find bodies to put on the field, but I see this as an evenly matched game between two teams struggling.

Tip: Real Salt Lake +1 Handicap @ 2.00 with Pinnacle

Portland vs. Houston

Saturday, June 22, Providence Park

I can only assume that Coach Gio Savarese is thrilled to be moving on deep into the U.S Open Cup tournament, and their 4 - 0 win over the LA Galaxy on Wednesday didn’t even have Asprilla or Valeri on the pitch. They both dressed and were available, but GIo decided to sit them and let them rest for this weekend’s match with Houston.

Houston, we have a problem! You old-schoolers know that phrase and let's talk about their epic fail as they were bounced from the Open Cup this past week too. Houston took a 2 - 0 first-half lead and watched it all blow out the window when Minnesota scored 3 second-half goals to eliminate Houston from the Cup.

Regrouping from stuff like that isn’t easy, and granted it’s an entirely different tournament and situation but Houston will basically putting that exact team back on the pitch this weekend. The Dynamo has 6 players on International duty as well, and that simply leaves them looking like a USL squad. Portland should make them pay for that early, and I found the play with value to back that up.

Tip: Portland 1st Half 1x2 @ 2.30 with Pinnacle

Columbus vs. Sporting KC

Sunday, June 23, Mapfre Stadium

This might come as a bit of surprise, but for some reason I see goals being scored at Mapfre on Sunday to close out the round.

The only game of the day will feature two teams not exactly in form, and, of course, they are both missing a few players out on International duty as well.

This is going to be one of those ugly 2 - 2 matches that will see 4 goals when it all said and done, and I wish I could tell you who is going to provide the scoring, but you’re guess is as good as mine. There will be plenty of names that might not be talked about over dinner, but sometimes those are the guys who have been waiting for an opportunity.

How they get there? Couldn’t tell you, but somehow, some way, they get it done.

Tip: Total Goals Over 3 @ 2.25 with Pinnacle
