Man City should crush the Canaries on Saturday...

Norwich vs Man City

Saturday, September 14, at Carrow Road

Premier League champions Man City will bid to maintain their excellent form when they visit Carrow Road in the late game on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s men remain unbeaten this season and they have banged in 14 goals in just four games. Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling are on fire, while fit again Kevin De Bruyne is pulling the strings with customary aplomb in the midfield. That could spell bad news for Norwich, who have lost three of their first four games back in the top flight, and shipped 10 goals in the process.

Team News

Norwich’s injury woes continue as young defender Max Aarons left the pitch in agony after making a goal line clearance while playing for England’s under-21 team this week. Christoph Zimmermann, Tom Trybull, Timm Klose and Onel Hernandez have all been missing, handing Daniel Farke a defensive injury crisis ahead of the visit of the most devastating attacking force the Premier League has ever seen. In better news, star striker Teemu Pukki appears to have made it through the international break intact after representing Finland.

Man City also have problems at the back after Aymeric Laporte went down with a long-term injury last month. They did not replace retiring captain Vincent Kompany in the summer, leaving Laporte, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi as the only senior centre-backs at the club. Stones has also been missing, and Guardiola could deploy holding midfielder alongside Otamendi at the back. Benjamin Mendy and Leroy Sané are long-term casualties, but Gabriel Jesus could return in time for this game.

Betting Analysis

Man City have been ripping teams apart in the early stages of the season and they are understandably the heavy favourites to win this game. You will have to look at handicaps and other caveats in order to gain value on this one. Win to nil looks risky, given Pukki’s form and Laporte’s injury. Man City half-time / full-time looks tempting at 1.62 (8/13), while combining a Man City win with overs on total goals looks really appealing.

Tips: Man City to win and over 3.5 goals at 1.83 (5/6) or Man City to win half-time / full-time at 1.62 (8/13) with Paddy Power
