Form book points to a home win...

Real Sociedad vs Levante

Wednesday, October 28, at Anoeta

Real Sociedad climbed up to third in the table with a hard fought 1-0 win away at Celta Vigo on Sunday. They have just a couple of days to rest in preparation for the visit of Levante, who are down to 13th after suffering back-to-back defeats. Sociedad have been strong at home this season, winning three of their four games at Anoeta. Levante have struggled on the road, losing four of five away trips, so this really should result in a home win for the Basque club.

Team News

On-loan playmaker Martin Odegaard has been the star of the show for Real Sociedad so far this season. The Norwegian is displaying the sort of form that previously had him earmarked as the next big thing in European football, and he could fight his way into the Real Madrid team next season. For now Real Sociedad fans are simply enjoying his dynamism alongside the talented Mikel Oryazabal and Portu, with Willian Jose leading the line. Captain Asier Illarramendi is injured for Sociedad, but Mikel Merino and Igor Zubeldia have anchored the midfield well, while Nacho Monreal has added crucial experience to the backline.

Levante have no major injury concerns, with only defenders Rober Pier and Tono and backup goalkeeper Oier Olazabal sidelined. Midfielder Enis Bardhi has struggled to shake off an injury, but he could return for this game. Their key men are midfielder Jose Campana, forward Roger Marti and winger Jose Luis Morales, but they have not clicked in the past couple of matches and Levante have only managed a goal per game on average this season.

Betting Analysis

Odds of 1.50 (1/2) look pretty generous on Real Sociedad when you consider how strong they have been at home this season. They beat Real Betis 3-1 in their last home match and they have also beaten Atletico Madrid and Alaves at Anoeta. They did lose at home to in-form Getafe, but Levante have struggled on the road, losing to Sevilla, Betis, Real Madrid and Alaves, and only beating bottom club Leganes. There are various ways you can find more value on Sociedad, but combining it with a goals market looks appealing. Only one game for each of these clubs has gone over 4.5 goals this season, so that looks like a great choice.

Tip: Real Sociedad to win and under 4.5 goals at 2.00 (evens) with Betway
