Huge injury issues for Inter this weekend

Sassuolo vs Inter Milan

Sunday, October 20, at Città del Tricolore

For Inter Milan, the 1st two defeats of the season came just before the international break. Both Champions League match against Barcelona and Serie A match against Juventus ended in a 2-1 loss and both were well deserved. We can’t say Inter played bad but both Juve and Barca are 1 class above them right now. It’s time for them to bounce back. The break was exactly what they needed in order regain their morale and return to winning ways. Sassuolo are not a bad team, most of all when they are playing at home. Many top teams will have problems against them on the road. Unfortunately, they enter this match on the back of their 1st home defeat of the season (4-1 to Atalanta). The 2 teams recorded no draws in 13 matches between them this term and it’s unlucky the 1st draw to happen in this match. Sassuolo usually go all in most of their matches that’s why their goal record is on the negative.

Team News

Sassuolo have a great attacking line with Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputo who are both scoring goals for fun this season. They scored 8 goals in 6 matches between them this season. On the other side, Inter Milan remain the best defensive side in the league with just 4 goals conceded in 7 matches. Inter’s rock-solid defender Diego Godin was replaced with Alessandro Bastoni in the 54th minute against Juventus and is doubtful for this match. Stefano Sensi, one of the best players this season, was forced to withdraw for the Italian national team but is expected to return on the bench against Sassuolo. Romelu Lukaku trained hard this week as he is trying to be fully fit for the weekend match. After a great Serie A start, Inter Milan forward Alexis Sanchez faces two or three months out after injuring his ankle on international duty. Lautaro Martinez is one of the most consistent players this season for Inter and he is our player to watch this weekend against Sassuolo.

Betting Analysis

1.7 for Inter to win this match? This is a trap…Inter are priced too short given all their injury issues. We are talking about some of their best players injured or doubtful. On top of that, Sassuolo on their turf are very dangerous and if they smell blood, they will go all in. More than that, this is the 1st match after the international break and most of the players are yet to return from international duty. Inter will play Dortmund next week in Champions League, another reason not to bet on Inter to win this match.

Best tip for the match: Both teams to score at 1.7 with William Hill
