It has been six weeks since we saw a premier Dota2 tournament, but finally, the next Major is here. Dreamleague Season 11 offers up $1 000 000 prize pool and the 15 000 lucrative DPC points.

Dreamleague 11 (March 14-24) marks the second half of the Dota Pro Circuit calendar leaving limited opportunities for teams to secure TI9 invites. Until now, we have seen three teams (VP, Secret, and EG) collect a vast majority of those points. With eight of the world's top 10 teams attending, and most of them lacking the points they need, I expect the tournament to be the most competitive yet this season.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

You know the groups below, so here is the groups schedule for whats happening for the groups!https://t.co/SGdeqO2hb3 https://t.co/d5KIsw4dUP
— DreamHack Dota (@DreamHackDota) March 12, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

The Field

In recent articles we have discussed at length the solid form of Team Secret during the 2018/2019 circuit. Instead of reiterating how great they are and elaborating on why they are the world number one, I would like to focus on some other teams in attendance this week.

Group A

It would take some rather incredible performances from Keen Gaming and J. Storm to take a map, let alone series, off of Secret and Liquid. We do sometimes see teams experiment more loosely in the group stage but the price would have to be considerable to tempt me at this tournament.

Group B

I'll be paying very close attention to PSG. LGD early on against the likes of Fnatic and NiP. Though these two are not likely to be deep in the playoffs if LGD performs as they are capable we could see them on Sunday. They have made previous star, Somnus, inactive after the Chongqing Major.

Group C

Ehome, Mineski, and Forward all have a shot to make it thru to the upper-bracket behind Virtus Pro. The North American roster, Forward, is certainly the bigger dog of

the group but have had some decent performances within their region. Like many of the Chinese teams in this year's circuit, Ehome are inconsistent. One tournament they appear to be the best from their nation, and the next it's Vici or Aster or LGD. It's difficult to feel confident backing Mineski, but the past month they've at least consistently beat teams worse than them and lost to those better. If the odds agree with this trend, I'll look to follow it as well.

Group D

These four teams offer the greatest question mark. They are all capable of beating each other, making a deep playoff run, or being knocked out of this tournament without so much as a playoff victory. Of course, on paper Evil Geniuses should top the group, but if the odds are too steep I'll look at my options or pass entirely.

Props

Fewest Deaths
Secret @ 4.0 [Bet365]
Winner of Shortest Map
Secret @ 4.0 [Bet365]

Outrights

Team Secret @ 3.9 [Bookmaker]
Team Liquid @ 3.92 [Pinnacle]
To Reach Final
Virtus Pro @ 3.0 [Pinnacle]

I did something a little out of the norm this week with the outrights. I am taking both Secret and Liquid to win the Major, as well as VP to reach the final. Off the back of Liquid's victory in Macau they are being overvalued here while VP is being undervalued. The Macau tourny, though attended by a few quality teams, was not a true showcase of the field. Liquid is overdue for a true tournament win, but I am not comfortable passing on Secret and VP at these prices. At this time match markets have not been posted at any book, but I'll share some plays on Twitter [@lockeqwerty] when they do.
