Check out the match previews below for selections on Friday night’s matches.

World Matchplay darts 2019

Saturday 20th – Sunday 28th July – Winter Gardens, Blackpool

Rob Cross versus Stephen Bunting

World Matchplay darts, quarter final

Friday 26th July 2019

Rob Cross faces Stephen Bunting in the quarter final and is heavy favourite to win and reach the semi-finals. At odds of 1.25 (1/4) to win with Ladbrokes, this isn’t a price we like to tip up so will look at an alternative market to find a winner.

Rob Cross to win the match, throw the most 180’s and have the highest check out is 3.0 (2/1) with Coral and is worth a play here given Cross is playing superbly well. If it wasn’t for Ratajski checking out with a 160+ finish then out tip would have delivered in Rob Cross’ 2nd round match.

Stephen Bunting has played a lot of legs in this tournament and won by close margins in both his matches so far. To reach this stage is something he would have taken pre-tournament and a match up against Cross is a step too far.

Tip:

Rob Cross versus Stephen Bunting

Rob Cross to win the match, throw the most 180’s and have the highest check out is 3.0 (2/1) with Ladbrokes

Peter Wright versus Daryl Gurney

World Matchplay darts, quarter final

Fri 26th July 2019

Peter Wright is playing unbelievable darts right now. He should be favourite for the tournament based on his 3 dart average which is over 100 and also he is wining comfortably.

Following our winning tip of 3.2 (11/5) of Wright to win his 2nd round match and score the most 180s and have the highest check out we are looking at this again and will share the odds of this.

However, Wright is now facing a top player in Daryl Gurney. And this promises to be the match of the tournament so far. Gurney has gone under the radar so far in this tournament and will not be phased by Peter Wright’s top form.

Peter Wright is 1.5 (1/2) with Betfair to win the match, which I believe he will do, however Daryl Gurney is a lively outside at 3.0 (2/1) with Coral.

We believe that this match will be close and therefore our tip focuses on the number of legs in the match. At 2.0 (Evens) with SkyBet our main tip is the Total Legs market and over 27.5 legs in the match.

Tip:

Peter Wright versus Daryl Gurney Peter Wright. Total Legs over 27.5 2.0 (Evens) with SkyBet

Lean:

Peter Wright versus Daryl Gurney Peter Wright to win, have the highest checkout and most 180s in the match 3.75 (11/4) with Coral.
