The run of December finals continues with Blast Pro Series headed to Bahrain

The Blast Pro Series may have been the source of some controversy this year, but it has also continued to pull in considerable numbers with a plethora of tournaments around the globe. We see the 2019 circuit of their tournaments concluded this week in the Middle East with the four teams that accrued the most points during the past year; Faze, Astralis, Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

With only four teams in attendance there are limited betting opportunities, seven matches in fact. Liquid and Astralis are heading here from Odense where they both dropped series to the two finalists, Fnatic and Mousesports. While Liquid may have dropped a couple spots in the world rankings, it is still widely accepted that they are still the second best team in counter-strike today. They have faced the Danes twice this month dropping 2-1 decisions both times. This is somewhat par for the course as Astralis has won 72% of maps in their head-to-head history (includes different iterations of both rosters).

The other two attendees have had some very mixed results at tournaments in 2019. Nip has basically been placing in the middle of the pack at most of their lans this year with a handful of 5-8th finishes. The BPS tournaments have been some of the more successful tournies for them; partly due to other teams overlooking it and it only being a six team format. Faze as well seems to have had their best runs at the BPS lans with two first place finishes. At the recent IEM Beijing it looked like they were putting up some numbers to give Astralis a run in the semifinals, only to be demolished 16-0, 16-2.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

2 weeks to go, 3 days of Counter-Strike with 4 of the greatest teams of the year.@astralisgg@TeamLiquid@FaZeClan@NiPGaming

It's the #BLASTGlobalFinal in beautiful Bahrain 🌴

🎫 https://t.co/HgP7zYfmLd pic.twitter.com/gGtrLpmzKF
— BLAST Pro Series (@BLASTProSeries) November 28, 2019
"}[/]

Match Bets:

- Astralis (ml) v Liquid @ 1.52 [Unibet]

- Nip (+1.5) v Faze @ 1.52 [Unibet]

- Nip (ml) v Faze @ 2.39 [Pinnacle]

Outrights:

- Astralis (to win outright) @ 1.80 [Bet365]

Incredible value on the Danes to get the win here this week. Contrast this price with their number at ECS and ESL tournaments this past month where they ranged between 1.8 – 2.2 for eight and sixteen team tournaments. Their number should be priced at a 1.60-1.66. Alternatively if you were to take one of the other teams to win I would look at Liquid. However look at their price currently in the head to head match with the Danes and compare it to the tournament number.
