Everyone's not so favourite tournament organiser is back, this time with a few new faces...finally!

Introduction:

So, I shared a play this week to take Avangar moneyline versus Forze in the 'play-in'. However yesterday Team Vitality dropped out of the tournament, giving way to both Avangar and Forze to qualify for the lan. We now have three CIS teams in the tournament with granddaddy of the region, Natus Vincere, leading the way on the outrights.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

.@TwistaCSGO: \"I don't know if there will be any team playing CS after we reach our goals\" πŸ‘€@ENCE bringing the heat! #BLASTBackstage pic.twitter.com/MC6Bi4IQot
β€” BLAST Pro Series (@BLASTProSeries) September 12, 2019
"}[/]

There are two teams sporting a new 'fifth' this weekend; Ence, with former Mousesports star Sunny, and MIBR, with Brazilian 'icon' Kngv. Both of these players are incredibly talented and have been added because, of all the players on the market from their respective countries, these two bring the most firepower and experience. A lot of counter-strike fans will be tuning in simply because they want to see the capabilities of these top teams with their new fraggers.

As discussed on the Sports Bet Daily show this week, esports teams seem all too willing to switch things up with very little patience. I won't accuse either of these organisations of doing so with these most recent additions, but I am still skeptical of how they 'fit' together. Ence will now have their veteran awper, Allu, IGL. Of the remaining four players he makes the most sense based on experience, but because the AWP is such a critical rifle to have on the team it can make things feel 'awkward' if the rest of the team doesn't have the chemistry already clicking. We have seen some awpers find success as the caller, but the exceptions are few. There are many examples of IGLs who also pick-up the awp, [nitro, shox, niko, chrisj, msl, cadian, tabsen] but that is far different. So, it will be interesting to see whether Allu's play suffers to the point that the addition of Sunny is a bit lost in the mix. In regards to MIBR, a team whose primary awp is their IGL, I am most curious to see where Kngv will be playing and how frequently he will be awping in relation to Fallen. As we saw during the minor, he has the potential to carry entire games with the sniper, but so has Fallen – when things with SK and Luminosity were clicking.

Matches:

-Forze (+3.5) v Ence @ 1.89 [Pinnacle]

-Natus Vincere (-3.5) v Mibr @ 1.83 [Pinnacle

-Ninjas in Pyjamas (ml) v Avangar @ 2.2 [Bet365]

-Avangar (ml) v Forze @ 1.85 [Unibet]

-Natus Vincere (ml) v Ence @ 1.88 [Pinnacle]

-Ninjas in Pyjamas (ml) V Mibr @ 2.2 [Bet365]

Outrights:

-Natus Vincere to win outright @ 3.0 [Unibet]

-Ninjas in Pyjamas to reach the final @ 5.0 [Bet365]

Coming into the tournament Nip and Navi are the two teams most undervalued due to big name roster additions. It just goes in circles like this every time there is a move. Moving into Saturday we could see some significantly different things in the numbers from this small round-robin of teams. Have approximated maps for each of the Friday matches, even for the teams with new additions. Contact me if you'd like to discuss [@lockeqwerty]!
