It has been a while since we had a Blast Pro event, and we have a couple new faces this time around!

The BPS is headed back to the States for its fourth stop of 2019. Once again we have a few familiar teams in the mix, but for the first time we'll see Renegades and NRG compete in the unique round robin. Both of these squads have had periods of limited success this year but, as has plagued the North American scene in prior years, they have had far more points of 'letdowns'. I have mentioned in prior BPS articles that the 'best' of the teams attending sometimes struggle to get up for this less prestigious tournament; namely Astralis, Liquid and Navi [in 2019]. With two fresh teams entering the mix, and both Faze and Cloud9 still looking for any sustained improvement this year , I expect this one to feel a bit more intense than a few of the others. Fresh off another tournament victory, Liquid also will likely be looking to continue their domination as the new kings of CSGO.

About the only team that I won't have any involvement with is MIBR. Today it became official that their star player, and former number #1 player in the world, Coldzera was benched following his request to do so. At this time Zews, their coach, will be standing-in. Zews has played professional counter-strike before but not for nearly three years in any permanent capacity. I am not saying they can't steal a game here but, given their poor level with Cold I can't see it being any better.

On a more positive note, the brand-new C9 roster has a lot of North American fans excited again. It features one of the best-test IGL's in Daps who has played at the highest levels of international competition (most recently with NRG), talented veteran Mixwell who is done playing with tier-five Spanish plebs, the enigma Koosta who has been around the best and worst of the NA scene, promising up-and-comer Tenz, and retained the most loyal of American powerhouse firepower, Autimatic. It will be their first lan together but this is a great format to iron out the kinks.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

πŸ’₯ Here we go...

πŸ—ΊοΈ Round 1 Map Picks - Mirage, Nuke, Inferno #BLASTProSeries #LosAngeles #FrontRow ;/a>
β€” BLAST Pro Series (@BLASTProSeries) July 11, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

BETS:

-Cloud9 (ml) v MIBR @ 1.72 [Bet365]

-NRG (-2.5) v Faze @ 1.84 [Pinnacle]

-Renegades/Faze (o26.5) @ 1.94 [Pinnacle]

I will be adding some more round-robin wagers closer to the kick-off.
