Adam Boothe @lockeqwerty has an 'interesting' look at five of the contenders coming to Dallas, but the field is much more talented this week. Can the new-look North repeat as Dreamhack Masters Champs in the Lone Star State?

Summit is in the books, next stop is the sixteen-team Dreamhack Masters event. The last one of these saw an MSL-mvp performance lead North to defeat the world number one. As we saw this past weekend, Liquid is far from a clear favourite to take this one down. NRG, Vitality, and Ence all took maps off them last week and they looked very poor on t-side in the grandfinal.

Outrights:

As I mentioned last week, we were taking Liquid with the hope that if they won Summit the price would get better on the field this week and if they lost the opposite would happen. Well unfortunately there has been very little market movement in the 24 hours since. So really this adds value to teams like Vitality, Ence, Fnatic, Faze and most of the other contenders who could (and have) beat Liquid. My favourite bet this week is one that I haven't actually been able to play many times recently (thanks alot Astralis); the region of winner market. You can view this as a 'Liquid v The World' wager, the price on the North American squad's outright is very close to this market. However that's not where my money is. I will be taking Europe as the winning region this week. This includes seven of the top 10 teams attending the event; Ence, Faze, Vitality, Nip, Fnatic, G2 and North. Liquid would need to step their game up considerably to be worth even a thought of outright money at their current price. I was pretty disappointed that we didn't see much movement. If Liquid is to win the title they will need to defeat at least three of the above teams, if not more.

Region of Winner:
Europe @ 1.63 [Pinnacle] 2u

Group A Winner:
Vitality @ 5.00 [Bet365]
North @ 15.00 [Bet365] 0.5u

Group B Winner:
Ence @ 3.10 [Pinnacle]
Cloud9 @ 19.00 [Unibet] 0.5u

Reach the Final:
Vitality @ 4.33 [Bet365]
Fnatic @ 7.50 [Bet365]

As you can see I am not big on the NA squads. The one caution here is what we did discuss last week; did Liquid use it as a 'warm-up' tournament. Well if they did I could be in some trouble. That said, its a six-day tournament and we'll know in the group stage whether their price was justified all along. I'll be posting some other props and opening match wagers within the next 12 hours.
