This week we have five competitive matches and a few solid picks to take home profit in Premier League Darts Week 2 .

There was some thrilling darts thrown in Week 1 of Premier League last week. The opening match delivered a nice win for our pick of James Wade defeating darts legend Raymond van Barneveld. Elsewhere there were wins for Gerwyn Price and current champion Michael van Gerwen. We also saw two draws between Rob Cross vs Peter Wright and Mensur Suljovic vs Chris Dobey.

Premier League Darts Week 2

Peter Wright 9/5 (2.8) William Hill, Coral

Draw 7/2 (4.5) Bet365

Michael Smith 6/5 (2.2) BoyleSports

Preview and Top Tip

Last year’s runner up Michael Smith will be eager to get a win under his belt as he looks to climb the table after defeat to Michael van Gerwen in Week 1. Smith performed superb last year ending with a place in World Darts Championship Final. Last week he played well in a 5-7 defeat and I expect him to beat Peter Wright who has been struggling with consistency. Wright drew 6-6 against Rob Cross but I don’t see him keeping up with the high scoring Smith.

Best Bet:

Michael Smith to beat Peter Wright 6/5 (2.2) BoyleSports

Raymond van Barneveld 15/8 (2.88) SkyBet

Draw 7/2 (4.5) Bet365

Gerwyn Price 6/5 (2.2) William Hill

Preview and Top Tip

We correctly picked James Wade to defeat Raymond van Barneveld in Week 1 and we don’t see this week being any different for van Barneveld. He continues to struggle with his darts and although being a legend of the game, the up and coming players are playing at a good level. Gerwyn Price is one of those players who are the future of the game and he performed superbly in Week 1 defeating Daryl Gurney 7-4. I do fancy Price to make it two wins out of two this week.

Best Bet

Gerwyn Price to beat Raymond van Barneveld 6/5 (2.2) William Hill

Rob Cross 15/13 (2.15) SportPesa

Draw 7/2 (4.5) Bet365

James Wade 2/1 (3.0) William Hill

Preview and Top Tip

This match should go back and forth all the way to the final leg. James Wade performed well against a poor Raymond van Barneveld while Rob Cross and Peter Wright battled it out for a 6-6 draw. I can’t split these two players and am putting up a 6-6 draw this week. Rob Cross came out of nowhere to win 2018 World Darts Championship and had a solid first season in Premier League. James Wade has been on the circuit for a while now and showing good consistency week in week out throughout the season. So, with little to separate these players, our tip for this match is the draw between Cross and Wade.

Best Bet

Rob Cross to draw with James Wade 7/2 (4.5) Bet365
