It has been an amazing five weeks as we head into UFC on ESPN 2 with 5-0 Punching Parlay win streak, let’s take a look at this weeks to fight card and try fish out some winners.

Marina Rodriguez vs Jessica Aguilar

Marina Rodriguez is a 10-0 undefeated fighter and for good reason. She has been rolling on her opponents with ease displaying some great Muay Thai skills. In her debut against Randa Markos, she impressively defeated her in the eyes of the fans, unfortunately, in the eyes of the judges it was a draw, but Marina was the clear winner.

Marina is the far superior striker in this fight, and now that she has got her UFC debut out the way she should feel more comfortable. Jessica will be looking for the takedown but even if she is successful I don’t think she has the top control to keep Marina down.

Punches, kicks, knees and elbows will be coming for Jess Aguilar and Marina finishing the fight inside the distance is a possible outcome. I really can’t justify any path to victory for Jess and Marina should get back to winning ways after the weird draw in her last bout.

The odds available for this fight are spot on. With Jess on a 1-3 in her last 4, a loss here could well be her last fight in the UFC, and I think if Marina can handle the grappling game of Randa Markos then she should have no problem with Jessica Aguilar. I’m not sure Jess can survive three rounds if Marina can find her stride and piece up Jess from early In the fight. Taking a look at the knockout prop might be worth your time but for the first half of this week’s punching parlay, we will add Marina Rodriguez to defeat Jessica Aguilar.

Marina Rodriguez at 1.31 – 4/13 with Pinnacle.

(Kevin Holland)

Kevin Holland vs. Gerald Meerschaert

With an up and down record across his past four fights, Gerald Meerschaert could be the right spot to fade him as he faces an up and coming, younger more athletic fighter in Kevin Holland. Gerald hasn’t been a pushover with an impressive fight ending record but in this spot, I think Kevin Holland can keep his distance and out strike Gerald until he finishes by knockout or wins on the judge's scorecard.

Both fighters have the ability to finish the fight on the floor with numerous submission wins on both fighters’ records. Kevin should come in much more athletically sound and should be able to attack soundly wherever the fight ends up. Meerschaert just hasn’t lived up to expectations with Holland being at the opposite coming into the fight on a buzz after his previous fight ended in the second round when he submitted John Phillips.

On top of everything else, Holland will have the height and reach advantage which only supports Kevin in the striking department keeping that chance of a knockout always a possibility. Kevin can scrap on the floor too; he has some crisp submission offence making him a threat in multiple areas of the fight.

I would have preferred a slightly better price in this one, but for the second and final part of this week’s punching parlay we will add Kevin Holland to defeat Gerald Meerschaert

Kevin Holland at 1.52 – 13/25 with Pinnacle will be the final addition to this week’s parlay/accumulator.

Punching Parlay

Marina Rodriguez at 1.31 – 4/13 with Pinnacle

Kevin Holland at 1.52 – 13/25 with Pinnacle

Odds: 1.99 – 99/100 with Pinnacle
Stake: £100 / 1u
Returns: £ 199.12
Profit: £99.12
Current Parlay Bank: £606.04

The Weekly Punching Parlay Record: 5-0 past five events

When is UFC Fight Night 148? Saturday 30th March 2019 - 12:30 am (GMT)

Where is UFC Fight Night 148? Wells Fargo Centre Philadelphia, USA

What channel is UFC Fight Night 148 on? UFC Fight Pass & BT Sport

For viewers in the United States ESPN+
