A disappointing and somewhat pointless fight card delivered some entertaining fights this past weekend, let’s have a quick re-cap.

<h2><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>Post-Fight Analysis / Recap</b></span></span></h2><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">I’m not sure how the UFC expect anybody other than the die-hard fan’s to pick up on these lacklustre fight cards but this weekend’s event did deliver some highly entertaining fight’s and huge props goes out to ESPN production team because the earlier start time for these events is a blessing to European fans and I’m sure American martial art enthusiasts are now given the chance to actually enjoy their weekend spare time rather than waiting for fox sports to show us 13 fight’s across six hours like we’ve been accustomed too for so long. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Moaning aside, in the main event of the night Junior Dos Santos showed us why he was once UFC heavyweight champion and tore apart Derrick Lewis from start to finish; piecing him up in the striking department Junior was just way too fast and fluent for Lewis to handle. Just under halfway into the second round a straight right to Lewis’s chin left him helpless, Dos Santos continued to lace him with strikes until ‘The Black Beast’ dropped to the mat and lost the fight via TKO. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">In the heavyweight division you can be a three fight win streak on your way into a title fight, Junior is now at that point… It’s just a shame the UFC would rather beg Brock Lesnar and his PPV numbers over a serious contender for Daniel Cormiers title in Junior Dos Santos. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><u><b>Junior Dos Def. Derrick Lewis via TKO (Round Two)</b></u></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><u><b><img alt src="https://www2-cdn.sherdog.com/_images/pictures/20190309080549_GettyImages1129484986.JPG" style="width:640px;height:427px;" /></b></u></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><i>(Zaleski Dos Santos sinks in the rear naked choke on Curtis Millender)</i></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">At the time of handicapping this fight it seemed extremely hard to decipher the more skilled fighter, way with Millender. Zaleski wasted no time in securing the takedown and then a couple minutes into the ground work he secured himself a beautiful rear naked choke and earnt his seventh straight victory after going on a tear since his first and only loss in his UFC debut against Nicolas Dalby. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">The Welterweight division continues to showcase some amazing talent, and now it looks like we might have another championship contender in the works or at least… a top ten ranked fighter who might stick around for a while.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Congratulations to bettors who took Zaleski closer to fight night rather than opening odds, the public swayed the line and made Zaleski the underdog at some book makers like <a href="https://a.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=150&amp;a=bf7f64f4-cd67-4904-9b00-6ded1d41fd18" target="_blank" title="Bet365"><b>Bet365</b></a>.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><u><b>Zaleski Dos Santos Def. Curtis Millender via Rear Naked Choke (Round 1)</b></u></span></span></p><p><img alt src="https://www2-cdn.sherdog.com/_images/pictures/20190309080712_GettyImages1129480918.JPG" style="width:640px;height:427px;" /></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><i>(Niko Price knock’s down Tim Means and wins via TKO)</i></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Another week and another nicely price underdog cashes which I continue to tip in my <a href="https://www.oddsmarket.com/tips/more-sports/the-dogs-and-their-odds-ufc-fight-night-146-lewis-vs-dos-santos/89529/">‘Dogs and Their Odds’</a> articles. Tipped at 2.63 – 163/100 @ <b><a href="https://a.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=150&amp;a=bf7f64f4-cd67-4904-9b00-6ded1d41fd18" target="_blank" title="Bet365">Bet365</a> </b>Niko Price I predicted that Tim Means might start to fade and Niko certainly put Tims chin to the test. Tim was the fighter with more in ring IQ, he was the more technical fighter and possibly could of the won the fight if he avoided the dog fight. Instead, he was drawn into a barn burner and ended up on the wrong end of a devastating Niko Price right hook which then caused Tim to drop in an awkward position leaving him with a broken leg &amp; ankle.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Niko Price won’t be making his claim for a title shot anytime soon, but it will be exciting to see who the UFC match him up with next as I’ve yet to see a boring Niko Price fight who leaves it all in the octagon every single time he fights.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>Niko Price Def. I am very excited for this show and was very upset when I couldn’t buy tickets for anything less than £500!! The black market scum bags are yet again preventing a natural sale of tickets and inflating prices to ridiculous amounts.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">More importantly, the fight card itself is stacked with hot British and European talent. I’ve also spotted out a few ‘set up’ fights which the UFC sometimes make very obvious to point out. What I like to call a ‘set up’ fight is basically when match makers will give a prospect either an easy opponent or fight of their choice usually in front of their home crowd… and next weekend looks like a perfect opportunity to cash in on some of those fights.</span></span></p><p lang="en-US"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><u><b>Below I’ve listed some opening line’s I’ll be taking a closer look at during the week</b></u></span></span></p><ul> <li> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Molly McCann for 1.53 with <a href="https://a.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=150&amp;a=bf7f64f4-cd67-4904-9b00-6ded1d41fd18" target="_blank" title="Bet365"><b>Bet365</b> </a></span></span></p> </li> <li> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Danny Henry for 2.25 with <a href="https://a.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=150&amp;a=bf7f64f4-cd67-4904-9b00-6ded1d41fd18" target="_blank" title=" Bet365"><b>Bet365 </b></a></span></span></p> </li> <li> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Tom Breese for 1.78 with <a href="http://affiliate.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=155&amp;a=6a145d2b-505f-491b-a70e-2f5f31742828" target="_blank" title="Pinnacle"><b>Pinnacle</b></a></span></span></p> </li> <li> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Marc Diakiese for 2.80 with <a href="http://affiliate.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=155&amp;a=6a145d2b-505f-491b-a70e-2f5f31742828" target="_blank" title="Pinnacle"><b>Pinnacle</b> </a></span></span></p> </li> <li> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Gunnar Nelson for 2.30 with <a href="https://a.oddsmarket.com/record/v?c=150&amp;a=bf7f64f4-cd67-4904-9b00-6ded1d41fd18" target="_blank" title="William Hill"><b>William Hill</b></a></span></span></p> </li></ul><p><strong><a href="https://www.oddsmarket.com/fighting/" target="_blank" title="All opening/closing odds for these events are available HERE"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><i>All opening/closing odds for these events are available </i></span></span></a><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><i><a href="https://www.oddsmarket.com/fighting/?dt=20190223">HERE</a></i></span></span></strong></p><h2><strong>Related Articles:</strong></h2><ul> <li><strong><a href="https://www.oddsmarket.com/tips/more-sports/the-dogs-and-their-odds-ufc-fight-night-147-till-vs-masvidal/89588/" target="_blank" title="The Dogs and Their Odds’ UFC Fight Night 147: Till vs. Masvidal">The Dogs and Their Odds’ UFC Fight Night 147: Till vs. Masvidal</a></strong></li> <li><strong><a data-reactid="." href="https://www.oddsmarket.com/tips/more-sports/ufc-london-darren-till-vs-jorge-masvidal-main-event-preview-analysis-prediction/89600" target="_blank" title="Darren Till vs Jorge Masvidal Main Event Preview, Analysis &amp; Prediction">Darren Till vs Jorge Masvidal Main Event Preview, Analysis &amp; Prediction</a></strong></li></ul>
