World Darts Championships – 4th Round Matches

Adrian Lewis v Dimitri van den Burgh

28th December

Adrian Lewis hasn’t looked convincing throughout this year’s tournament but has managed to navigate himself through to the 4th round. Lewis is a veteran of the sport and former winner of the world darts championship, but hasn’t performed well this year to the standard he expects.

Lewis now faces his toughest opponent in the young and up and coming van den Bergh. Van den Bergh has looked composed throughout the tournament so far, throwing great darts and not only scoring well, but check outs likewise have been good.

This match could well go all the way to a final set decider, but the younger and hungrier van den Bergh can come out on top. He is thriving this tournament and looks a lot fresher compared to Lewis.

Top Tip: Dimitri van den Bergh to beat Adrian Lewis at 2.0 (Evens) with Bet365

Kim Huybrechts v Luke Humphries

28th December

Luke Humphries has really impressed this tournament and now has a great chance to reach the quarter-finals for the first time. Englishman Humphries beat Kurz 4-2 in sets in the third round and has looked at ease in front of the big crowd at Alexandra Palace.

He now faces Belgium Huybrechts who dug deep to beat Noppert 4-2 and showed signs he is getting back to the form he had a few years ago.

This is likely to be very close match and Humphries performances over the second half of the year show he can perform at the top level and he can deliver and beat Huybrechts.

Top Tip: Luke Humphries to beat Kim Huybrechts at 1.67 (4/6) with Ladbrokes

Steve Beaton v Darius Labanauskas

28th December 2019

Steve Beaton rolled back the years as he beat James Wade on Sunday night. This was a shock to many as James Wade is the higher seed as was fancied to come through this following his comfortable 2nd round win. Beaton, a darts veteran has been on the tour for over two decades performed superbly well to beat Wade and progress.

His opponent in the 4th round Labanauskas is in tremendous form. The second half of the year has been a huge success for the Lithuanian player and his composed style of play has seen him win lower ranked tour tournaments and a rise in his ranking.

With a 50% strike rate in checkouts, this was the key to Labanauskas defeating Hopp as he struck at key points in the match to take control and come out on top.

This match is very tight to call, however I believe the inform Labanauskaas can continue his great form and come through this match.

Top Tip: Darius Labanauskas to beat Steve Beaton at 2.0 (Evens) with Ladbrokes
