1st Round Treble 1 – Total Odds 3.01

Best Odds: Pinnacle

Venus Williams vs Elina Svitolina – Svitolina to win at 1.45

One of the most expected matches of the 1st round sees the most experienced player on tour Venus Williams take on No. 9 WTA Elina Svitolina. Clay is Svitolina’s best surface, but she enters this match on the back of 1st round defeats in Madrid and Rome. On the other side, Venus is always a threat no matter the surface and the tournament and despite having poor results on clay recently and despite being 38-year old, she is very capable of winning matches against top players. We expect Svitolina to be in top shape and win this match taking advantage of her mixed tennis, great defence and powerful ground strokes.

Jelena Ostapenko vs. Victoria Azarenka – Azarenka to win at 1.3

Jelena Ostapenko is far from being the players who pulled off the upset 2 seasons ago when she won the French Open beating Simona Halep in the finals. She enters this Grand Slam in horrible shape losing 11 of her previous 15 matches, winning just 1 match on clay in Madrid against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. She is very unlucky to be drawn against Azarenka who’s steadily climbing the rankings this season. Victoria enters this match on the back of a decent run in Rome where she qualified in the quarter finals after beating Svitolina and Muguruza in the process. She has the necessary weapons to beat Ostapenko in 2 sets but for this treble bet we’re just taking the win.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Jordan Thompson - Auger-Aliassime -1.5 sets AH at 1.6

The young Canadian player should easily reach the 3rd round in Roland Garros. He drew the 69th-ranked Jordan Thompson of Australia in the first round. Felix enters this tournament on the back of a decent run on clay. He is fighting for a place in the finals in Lyon Nikoloz Basilashvili he qualified in the 2nd round in Madrid, Barcelona and Monte Carlo losing to top players, Nadal, Nishikori and Zverez. He should have no problems to cover the sets handicap in the 1st round.

1st Round Treble 2 – Total Odds 4.09

Best Odds: Bet365

Fiona Ferro vs Kristina Mladenovic – Mladenovic in straight sets at 1.61

Mladenovic is enjoying a superb clay season having a great partnership with Osaka’s ex-coach Sascha Bajin. She won 10 of her previous 13 clay-court matches beating players like Barty, Bencic and Garcia. She already won Fiona Ferro few weeks ago in Rome beating her in straight sets and we expect her to impose her rhythm once again and solve the qualification issue in 2 sets.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Dominika Cibulkova – Sabalenka to win at 1.62

Despite being drawn against a very tough opponent, Sabalenka should be feeling pretty good about her 1st round chances. She’s got the guts and weapons to take on the toughest opponents on tour and she will definitely enjoy a great career. She started the clay season with 2 bad results losing to Kuznetsova and Cornet in Madrid and Rome respectively and she raised her game fighting Dayana Yastremska for a place in the final in Strasbourg. She will face a difficult test in the 1st round of the 2nd Grand Slam of the season facing an experience player, but we love her chances of reaching the 2nd round.

Mihaela Buzarnescu vs Ekaterina Alexandrova – Buzarnescu to win at 1.57

After a poor start to her season, Buzarnescu is finally ready to compete at her highest level. We recent clay results makes us believe she can easily reach the 3rd round in France. First, she needs to beat No. 60 WTA, Alexandrova. The Russian player enters this match on the back of just 1 win in her previous 9 matches, 7 of them being on clay. We expect Buzarnescu to win in straight-sets but for we love the odds for Mihaela to win the match too.
