The last Grand Slam of the year kicks off with 2 treble bets

Treble 1 – Total Odds 3.78

Best Odds: Unibet

Hubert Hurkacz vs Jeremy Chardy – Hurkacz to win at 1.4

The Polish youngster is enjoying a great season beating 4 top 10 players and entering top 50 ATP in the process. He enters this match full of confidence, on the back of a superb week winning the Winston-Salem trophy. You might say he will have some fitness problems after playing so many matches in the past weeks, but his quality and skill should win him the US Open opener against Chardy who’s having huge ups and downs this term.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Andrey Rublev – Over 3.5 sets at 1.57

Tsitsipas and Rublev, a contest between 2 nextgen players, is one of the most expected matches of the round. The Greek player won 1 hard-court tournament this season, but he faces Andrey Rublev, a tricky opponent who has been in outstanding form. Rublev impressed at Cincinnati beating Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka and we expect him to enter this match without nothing to lose. If he brings his A game, he might pull off the upset. We expect a close match, probably a 5-setter with both players winning sets and help us cash our treble bet.

Andrea Petkovic vs Mihaela Buzarnescu – Petkovic to win at 1.72

Buzarnescu’s 2018 season was superb as she cracked the world's top 20 WTA. Unfortunately for her and her fans she injured her right ankle at the Rogers Cup last year against Elina Svitolina. She came back from injury, but this season is a nightmare. She now finds herself 129 WTA and her struggles are real. She won just 2 matches this season on hard-court, she never past round 1 at the US Open and her mental and fitness issues will eventually lose her the match. On the other side, Petkovic is a real fighter and she is always giving everything. We expect a tough match with Petkovic possessing the weapons to advance in the 2nd round.

Treble 2 – Total Odds 2.93

Best Odds: Bet365

Laslo Djere vs Miomir Kecmanovic – Kecmanovic to win at 1.22

The 2 Serbian youngsters meet each other for the 2nd time this season. Kecmanovic won in Indian Wells beating Djere in straight sets. He already played 13 matches in the US Open series but he had a few days of resting so we expect him to be in top shape at the time of the match and make it 2 in a row against Djere who enters this match on the back of 4 defeats in a row, losing both US Open series matches to Garin and Schwartzman.

Steve Johnson vs Nick Kyrgios – Over 3.5 sets at 1.6

Nick Kyrgios has been in good form this season winning 2 titles but his attitude on court is not always the correct one. He got fined $113,000 for his attitude towards the umpire in Cincinnati with the ATP board expected to suspend him following his behavior. Steve Johnson enters this match on the back of a negative 14-19 record this season on tour. He’s enjoying a great pre-US Open campaign winning 9 of his previous 12 matches. He will definitely give huge headaches t Kyrgios and we expect him to at least win 1 set.

Denis Shapovalov vs Felix Auger-Aliassime – Over 3.5 sets at 1.5

Denis Shapovalov enters this match in good shape after having a deep run last week at Winston-Salem playing the semis but losing in straight sets to Hurkacz. He’s a powerful hitter with a huge serve but his 1st serve percentage is a big problem. He struggled in the previous months and we don’t expect him to improve over night. On the other side, Felix, an amazing young player, lost in the 1st round in Cincinnati to Kecmanovic, serving 10 double faults and recording just 47 percent of his first serves. We expect a long match between 2 players who are struggling to put the 1st serve in.
